The Wendigo Inn

All the employees and guests have packed the Celestial Cafe. Word has spread that there's a big announcement due any minute.

The minute we returned from the Celestial Committee's realm, Daji set about arranging the big reveal, even sticking my grandparents in a safe and hidden spot until the right moment. Mom, Dad, Tina, Damon, Jocelyn, Wukong, and Erlang insisted on taking up a position in the center of the restaurant, just to add to the intrigue and mystery. I'm the only one that looks nervous, my eyes darting towards my grandparents' hiding place. Possibly the presence of Dylrirra, who's decided to personally oversee the surveillance of the Wendigo, is making me nervous, even though the employees and guests don't seem bothered at all.

Tina elbows me. "RELAX. This is family. It's supposed to be a happy time."

I grin sheepishly. "You're right. I don't know why I'm jumpy."
