Chapter 199: Tough Questions

Kryptosia asked easier questions during her interrogation.

Forgive Lamashtu after everything? Forgive Marduk? How about the Mothmen that accused me of being the one who would burn down my family legacy? Forgive unrepentant liars?

"I'm not sure," I admit.

But my gut says no.

When Nuska says nothing, creating the space for me to answer, I add, "They say that part of forgiveness and moving on is learning to accept the apology you never got. I'm still struggling with that concept, even after long esoteric and philosophical conversations with every god that walks through the doors of this inn."
