… Jason's perspective

The buzzing finally stopped as all the maggots had left.

A while later, someone came out from his hiding place.

This person was Jason.

'They're really gone.'

He thought.

His sharp eyes scanned the surrounding, but even then he was unable to see any of the easily distinguishable monsters.

He even went down from the tree and onto the ground, his feet landing on the snow.

But even then, he couldn't find the maggots.

Every single one of them had left.

'That's a relief.'

It could be a good thing, or it could be a relatively bad thing.

Jason jumped onto the lowest branch of a tree and he went towards Asahi's direction.

The boy seemed just as perplexed as he was, but with his normal eyes he could not see as far as Jason could.

"Are you alright?"

Jason asked.

"I'm fine..."

The words came out absentmindedly, he was focused on another thing.
