Black Drifter saw the look on Rowan's face and could tell immediately that something was happening, it asked Rowan telepathically what was happening and Rowan hurriedly told him the details.

Black Drifter pointed in the direction of the soldiers and asked.

Rowan nodded immediately and even told Black Drifter that Blaze, his new colleague and rival, was in trouble as well and needed to be saved.

Black Drifter offered to take Rowan there and rescue Blaze since it wanted nothing to happen to its kind; it even told Rowan that only it had the right to beat Blaze.

While his overall agility had improved thanks to his new power, he wanted to test the flight speed of Black Drifter.
