027. Donggala Raid : To Protect Her

"Are you serious?"

The emotion-filled question came out of Johan's mouth. 

The man in the shirt was standing in a large room filled with many bookcases, blackboards and papers that scattered all over the floor. 

In front of Johan, stood a man wearing a long white lab coat with a cold gaze as if he didn't want to give the obvious answer. 

His physical appearance was very similar to Johan's but his middle-aged appearance showed that he was older and more mature than Johan. 

"She's your daughter, William!" said Johan with an angry look in his eyes. 

The man standing in front of Johan was none other than his own older brother, William Smith.

"You're so naive, Johan," retorted William whose facial expression was so flat and cold. 

"Don't tell me you married Ayu just for this?!"

"And?"

Anger engulfed Johan and he lunged at William with his fists clenched tightly. 

A punch was thrown at William's face, but the man in white lab coat dodged quickly and uppercut Johan. 

Johan was thrown towards a pile of papers and sent them flying. 

"Johan, as usual, you're still stuck in your idealism," said William who looked down at Johan.

Johan opened his eyes and found himself lying in the middle of a green grass field with a charred body that had lost both hands. 

Next to the charred man, a blonde girl with twintail was crying. 

"J... Je... Jessica..." said Johan who struggled to open his mouth. 

The girl named Jessica was immediately surprised and hugged Johan. 

"Uncle! You're still alive! Thank God!" Jessica shouted while crying loudly. 

Johan's body hurt when touched by Jessica but he didn't mind it. 

He didn't mind it at all.

Ignoir who was now in the form of a wolf humanoid monster could only breathe heavily.

In front of Ignoir was Zaskia whose entire body was covered in armor made of blood and Galih whose entire body was covered by a sturdy crustacean shell. 

"Master Aril has given me the task of defeating you, I will complete my duty," said Ignoir with a gasp. 

"Unfortunately, Mister Johan may have already killed him," Galih retorted casually. 

"Master Aril will not lose!" shouted Ignoir who lunged at the two.

*BHAK! 

An uppercut sent Reizel flying. Reizel fell to the ground. His whole body was in pain, his reptilian scales fell off and revealed his bruised skin from the attack of someone who had ant DNA as the basis of his ( mutant system ). 

"You chose a side, unfortunately you chose the wrong side," said Adit who walked over to Reizel who had lost his sunglasses and his reptilian face looked battered.

Putri knelt on her right knee, trying to catch her breath. However, no matter how much she defeated Nabil's clones, they seemed to keep spawning. 

There is no end to it. 

"Come on, I'm a nice guy," said the naked Nabil. 

"No! Disgusting!" said Putri while closing her eyes. 

Nabil ran out of patience and did not want to use the easy way anymore. Several of his clones immediately grabbed Putri and held her hands and feet. 

"No more mister nice guy!" said Nabil which made Putri scream for help. 

The scream managed to distract Ignoir who was fighting with two people at once. 

As the wolf girl turned towards Putri, a giant scythe made of blood stabbed straight through her stomach.

Ignoir's blood was black, making Zaskia surprised, but not Galih who was already beside Ignoir with his right hand clenched firmly. 

*BHAM! 

A high-speed punch that produced a sonic boom managed to knock Ignoir into one of the houses and destroy the house. 

Nabil approached Putri who began to shed tears. 

"Stay away! Help! Aril!"

Aril was suddenly appeared beside Nabil's head. Floating in the air with both legs bent. 

Nabil was startled but before he could react, his face had already hit the ground. 

The powerful and quick kick managed to sent Nabil unconscious in an instant. 

Nabil's group of clones immediately jumped towards Aril.

*Bham! Bham! Bham! Bham!

Punches and kicks managed to knock out all the approaching clones. 

A real threat that made Galih and Adit lunge towards Aril. 

The two users ( mutant system ) got goosebumps when Aril suddenly appeared out of nowhere. Their gazes were so serious that even Adit, who looked a bit sluggish, was instantly alert. 

The animal DNA in their bodies seemed to be screaming that if Aril wasn't killed now, then they would be the ones to die. 

Aril opened his mouth and took a deep breath.

On his tongue was a strange symbol.... 

Phenex sigil. 

Galih and Adit were getting closer. Aril blew 2 high-pressure wind balls into Galih's chest.

The first wind ball managed to shatter Galih's crustacean shell layer and successfully propelled the man. But the second wind ball landed in the same spot and broke several ribs and sent Galih flying.

Galih spewed blood in the air and he was thrown into one of the houses. 

It happened in less than a second. 

Adit reflexively looked at Galih who was blown away. 

A mistake.

Because Aril was already in front of Adit with his middle and index fingers pressed together. 

By the time Adit looked at Aril, Aril's two fingers were already in front of Adit's eyes.

*Jrash! 

Aril's finger strike managed to pierce Adit's left eye. 

Adit screamed in pain and Aril immediately spun around and kicked Adit in the stomach. 

Adit was thrown away and three people were defeated in an instant. 

Aril was breathing heavily and he looked at Zaskia who was trembling. 

Despite looking exhausted, Aril's gaze was so sharp that it made Zaskia freeze in place.

Aril suddenly knelt on the spot and both of his hands touched the ground, trying to support his exhausted body. 

Opportunity for Zaskia! 

"Your attack wasn't bad," said the wolf humanoid monster that standing beside Zaskia who was preparing to attack Aril. 

Zaskia was surprised, Ignoir immediately grabbed the back of Zaskia's head and pushed the girl's head to the asphalt. 

*Brak! 

Zaskia's face hit the asphalt and she lost consciousness instantly. 

Ignoir was breathing heavily. 

Her body was slowly shrinking. The wolf's fur began to fall and now revealed a white-skinned girl in a sleeveless black T-shirt. 

Ignoir had returned to her human form and rushed straight to Aril.

"Master! Are you alright?" shouted a panicked-looking Ignoir. 

"Aril! Are you alright?" said Putri who approached Aril immediately. 

Aril didn't answer, he couldn't answer. He could only nod his head slowly. 

Ignoir and Putri helped Aril to stand up. 

"Master, don't force yourself," said a worried Ignoir. 

"What happened?" asked Putri who was also worried. 

But Aril could not answer. His head just bowed down and the young man's vision began to blur.

His brain couldn't even process the questions from the two girls. 

Reizel came over and immediately carried Aril on his back. 

"For now, we'll retreat " said Reizel who was now walking towards the barrier gate. 

Putri and Ignoir immediately agreed and hurried to follow Reizel's steps.
