Status Description

• Challenger

An individual who has come into contact with the Sacred Statue, a ubiquitous presence found everywhere. Upon touching the statue, the person's deepest fear is awakened and transformed into a unique ability. This marks the First Trial, an initial challenge that requires the individual to confront and overcome their phobia. By triumphing over this fear, they can unlock the full potential of the ability granted to them by the sacred statue.

• Master

An individual who has successfully overcome their deepest fear, thereby completing the First Trial. This achievement grants them enhanced control over their associated ability, rendering it more potent and stable. However, Masters can only access their abilities within the territorial boundaries of a Sacred Statue; beyond these limits, their powers are neutralized, and they appear as ordinary individuals.

• Corrupted

Individuals who, unable to overcome their deepest fear, are instead consumed by it. This occurs when another person completes the Second Trial before them, rendering the fearful individual a soulless vessel, suspended in a state between life and death.

• Lord

An individual who has earned the acceptance of a Sacred Statue by completing the esteemed Lord's Quest, also known as the Second Trial. As the Statue's designated owner, a Lord is granted exclusive privileges, including:

- Dominion over the Corrupted, soulless vessels bound to their will.

- Unrestricted use of their abilities, transcending territorial limitations.

- Infinite resurrection, ensuring their revival within the boundaries of their Sacred Statue's domain.

• Repeater

Individuals who fail to complete the Lord's Quest within the allotted timeframe or are preempted by another's successful ascension to Lordship. Repeaters are relegated to two options:

- Attempt the Lord's Quest anew at an unoccupied Sacred Statue.

- Challenge an existing Lord, albeit with an exceedingly low probability of success.

•Blessed

Individuals who have earned the privilege of serving under a Lord's guidance and receiving their blessing. As a result, the Blessed gain the freedom to venture beyond the territory while retaining the ability to wield their powers, akin to the Lords themselves.

• Cursed

Masters who have fallen under a Lord's curse, restricting their abilities to the territory of their curse's origin. Unlike other Masters, the Cursed are bound to the specific Lord's domain, unable to access their powers even within the territories of other Sacred Statue.

• Conqueror

Lords who have successfully seized control of a Sacred Statue previously owned by another Lord. Through conquest, a Conqueror can upgrade their own Sacred Statue (e.g., from Stone Statue to Bronze Statue), unlocking new features, enhancing their abilities, and amplifying their personal strength.

• Captive

Lords who have been defeated and subjugated by another Lord, the Conqueror. As a result, Captives are forced into a subordinate role, bound to obey the Conqueror's will, relinquishing their autonomy and authority.

• Overlord

Lords who have slain other Lords outside the boundaries of a Sacred Statue's territory. By choosing this path, Overlords forsake the conventional method of upgrading their Sacred Statue through conquest. Instead, they can only advance their Statue's power by defeating and killing other Lords in extraterritorial combat, rendering traditional conquest impossible.

• Depraved

Lords who have met their demise outside the protective boundaries of their Sacred Statue's territory. Although they are granted a final resurrection, their fall from grace is absolute: stripped of status, authority, and wealth, they are left with only brute power and an insatiable thirst for destruction. Consumed by madness, they ravage everything they once built, ultimately degenerating into a monstrous entity hunted by humanity.

• Ascendant

A Lord who has transcended their limitations by completing the Ascension Quest, the Third Trial. This sacred trial requires the Lord to vanquish their deepest Desire, symbolizing their ultimate triumph over their own nature. Upon emerging victorious, they are reborn as an Ascended being, a divine entity imbued with Bright Nature. Freed from mortal constraints, Ascendants are immune to hunger, darkness, physical death, and the extremes of temperature. They exist as ethereal beings, blessed with eternal life and unfathomable power that defies the boundaries of imagination.

• Fallen

Individuals who have succumbed to their deepest Desire, suffering defeat in the Ascension Quest. As a result, their Desire assumes dominance, supplanting their original personality and taking control of their physical form. Their former power, once rooted in fear, is transformed into an insatiable force driven by Desire, birthing a new, corrupted entity.

• Sovereign

A Lord who has tapped into an alternative source of immense power, rivaling that of an Ascendant. By cultivating a vast territory with a multitude of devoted followers who believe in and pray to them, a Sovereign can harness the collective faith of their people. This concentrated Faith Energy is then absorbed by the Sovereign, fueling their growth and amplifying their strength.

Notably, if an Ascendant were to employ this method, their power would experience a exponential surge, catapulting them to unprecedented heights.

• Unholy

A Lord who has sacrificed their Sacred Statue, absorbing its power to attain abilities rivaling those of an Ascendant. This dark and taboo method grants immense strength, but at a terrible cost. Notably, if an Ascendant were to employ this forbidden technique, their power would experience a catastrophic surge, increasing exponentially and redefining the boundaries of their abilities.

Transcendent: Individuals who have achieved a profound level of mastery, enabling them to create an internal, self-sustaining realm. Within this sacred space, they can harbor their Sacred Statue, effectively crafting a personalized "village." To attain this transcendent state, one must first overcome the Fourth Trial and subsequently absorb Faith Energy from their territory, thereby integrating the divine energies into their being.
