"That's none of your business," Grace said coldly.
Simon said, "Okay. I hope you are all right."
Grace frowned again.
"Grace, I'm really sorry, and I deeply regret it," he said and ended the call.
Grace was still holding the phone. Simon never changed, he always wanted to be the one in control, even when hanging up on her.
Grace then placed the phone on the table next to her.
"Who called?" she heard Heinz's voice.
"Simon," Grace didn't intend to hide anything from him.
"He called?" Heinz sneered and said sarcastically, "Did he finally get his conscience back?"
"Maybe." Obviously, Grace didn't want to talk about Simon. "I think I'm going to sleep," she said.
"Sleep?" Heinz looked at her again. "Haven't you just slept for a long time?"
"Sleeping is good for my recovery." Grace felt that sleep could really help speed up her recovery. Since she was already in the hospital without her son, she could really use some more rest.
