Chapter 577 Hard-Hitting

Maxim suddenly froze, looking at Charles who was standing about three meters away from him. His eagle-like sharp eyes were full of hostility.

Charles was shocked by the piercing gaze and immediately explained. "Dad, we all heard you crying in the room. Not only me, but even the servants heard you."

"Charles!"

Maxim lost his temper in an instant and bellowed loudly.

"Dad, don't be angry." Charles looked at Maxim and felt that he had to point it out. Otherwise, Maxim would be deceiving himself. Hence, he continued, "You are crying because you regret driving Aunt Marilyn out of the family."

Maxim was stunned and was frozen on the spot.

His lips trembled, but he didn't say a word for a long time.

Seeing that he was right about Maxim, Charles became more confident. "Dad, you regret it. What's wrong with admitting it? No one will laugh at you if you admit that you're wrong. It's better than hiding in this room alone and crying, isn't it?"

"Shut up!"
