Jodie was in a mess. Her eyes widened as she looked at Old Master Carter. She murmured, "Grandpa, do you dislike me now? Even you think that I'm not good, right?"
Old Master Carter didn't say anything.
His silence was equivalent to his acquiescence.
Jodie was completely stunned. Tears welled up in her big eyes, making her look exceptionally miserable.
Heinz said, "Jodie, I must divorce you and dissolve this marriage. Although I have not filed a lawsuit, I had already handed it over to the lawyer, and not long after, the news about your death in Alsburg put this matter to rest. If there is a lawyer who can act as a witness and I file the lawsuit, our divorce trial will be effective very soon."
"Heinz!" Jodie felt a stab of pain in her heart. "I know, I know you can do that. I understand."
"Then sign it." Heinz glanced at Lester and his lawyer.
They quickly put the divorce agreement in front of Jodie.
