The tone of her voice was domineering and cold as she gave the order.
Alice stiffened, her gaze sharp. She was very upset.
After so many years, she had thought that Candace would at least apologize, or she would feel guilty when faced with her daughters.
If that was the case, she would've felt better.
However, Candace did not.
She had probably never suffered from a broken heart.
Alice paused and she said, "Jensen, let's go. I'm exhausted."
"Okay." He nodded, turning around to give Candace a warning glare, hoping that she would not hurt Alice.
However, she didn't take it seriously.
"Alice, is this how you behave when you meet me after so many years?" Candace asked self-righteously. "I'm your mother. We're supposed to catch up with each other."
Alice's face fell. She turned around abruptly and looked at Candace indifferently. She then started to walk towards her slowly.
Candace stood by the car as she looked at her calmly.
Alice stood before her.
Jensen also came over.
