Candace was questioned, but she did not look at Heinz.
She just said coldly, "As his son, since you know he's facing financial trouble, and is suffering through a crisis, shouldn't you help him?"
"Other than the fact that I'm his son, you can't find another reason for me to help him, can you?" Heinz's tone was even colder.
"It's your duty," she said.
"Hmph, he didn't fulfill his duty as a father, and he didn't fulfill his duty as a husband to my mother. Isn't it ridiculous for you to talk to me about duty?"
"Then you can turn a blind eye," she said.
"That's what I intend to do," he said coldly. "I won't help with his debt. I don't mind paying for a meal, but I'm not obligated by law to pay off his debt. It's best that the both of you suffer the consequences of your actions."
