Jensen did not speak. He merely stared at Alice with red eyes.
She had a feeling that if she dared to breathe another word, he would fiercely devour her.
However, Alice also had her fair share of grievance and anger since she had been given silent treatment in the last few days. "What are you staring at me like this for?" She retorted.
He looked even more furious when he tightened his jaw.
Alice shouted, "You are the one who had been cold towards me these past few days. I'm already exhausted by the time I come home. I didn't even have time for dinner sometimes. But have you ever cared?"
"Why didn't you starve to death then?" he suddenly raised his voice and cursed her. But he regretted doing so as soon as he spoke.
Then his grip on her chin loosened.
However, his words were hurtful.
So hurtful that there wasn't a single inch of her body that was left unscathed.
Alice felt enraged by his words and she grew more impatient.
