"Maria, studying abroad is something you have to consider carefully before making any decisions. I agree with Uncle Zachary that you should go home and think it through first instead of acting on impulse like this."
"I've made up my mind already," Maria said, "I'm serious about studying in England, but Ernest, you sound as if you're not very happy with my decision."
Shaking his head, Ernest smiled and said, "You're thinking too much, Maria. I really don't think it's a good idea for you to make such a rash decision."
"Ernest Jones," Maria stared at him in anger, "Don't think that I don't know what's going through your mind. I'm telling you now that I'm going to England for sure."
"Maria, if you're firm on your decision, I'll take care of you once we're in England," Ernest remained calm without raising his voice at all.
