Gary couldn't stop coughing the minute he started. It took him an entire minute to finally calm down.
Grace was frightened by this scene. She had never seen her son cough so badly before.
Her pale fingers tightened around the phone unconsciously.
Meanwhile, Celeste's entire body stiffened up and she stared at Grace's phone in a daze.
Her face looked ashen, and there was a trace of anxiousness and worry deep down in her pupils.
"Why do you have such a bad cough? Have you gone to see a doctor?" Grace asked with concern, "I've told Lowell to find a butler for you, but he was not willing to. I can't believe that Lowell didn't even tell us that you have fallen so sick."
Although Grace hoped that her children would experience the cruel world on their own, she couldn't bear to see her children actually suffering as a mother.
"I'm fine, mom," After coughing for some time, Gary flashed her a comforting smile, "It's just a cold. It's not a huge problem."
