Gary stared fixedly at Lowell, but he found nothing out of the ordinary. He muttered to himself, "Could I be overthinking things?"
Lowell looked back at him steadily and Gary couldn't help but frown. Perhaps he had thought too much.
"Is that so? I thought he knew about this. You rushed over looking for me, so how did you know that Janice would be back?" Gary asked.
"I was just guessing. Janice will find a way here by hook or by crook. How could she let you stay here for two months?"
Gary nodded. "I guess you know Janice very well. By that reasoning, she definitely wouldn't let me stay here for two months without doing anything."
"So, we must be careful and not allow her to cause any trouble," Lowell warned Gary.
This was what Heinz asked Lowell to tell Gary.
Lowell chose his words carefully for fear that he'd give away the fact that Heinz knew about this.
It was hard for him to lie, and he was in a terrible mood.
