......
Ten minutes later, Clinton's car arrived, and they switched to Clinton's car to hide. They took turns to keep a lookout on Kendrix's apartment. Other than that, none of them spoke.
It was silent inside the car.
They waited for a long time.
Ernest glanced at Sebastian and asked, "Are you sure this is where Kendrix lives?"
"I'm sure," Sebastian replied. "But I can't be sure if he's still here. Mr. Trevino said he's leaving, so I'm not sure if he'll be here tonight."
Gary frowned.
Ernest was also stunned. "What if he moved away? Wouldn't we be wasting our time?"
"I'm going to make a call." Gary took out his phone and called Kendrix without hesitation
Soon, someone answered the call.
It was Kendrix's voice, but it sounded as if he was whispering. "Hello, who is it?"
Gary snorted. "Cut the crap. You know who I am."
Kendrix did not say a word, nor did he admit that he knew who was calling him. He merely asked faintly, "What is it?"
"Where are you?" Gary asked.
