......
After Sylvia finished speaking, silence fell over them again. Kendrix did not seem to want to talk anymore either.
Sylvia could not tell what Kendrix was thinking, but she did notice a flicker of emotion in his eyes.
Although she had no idea what he was thinking, she felt sure that she had made herself very clear.
She had told him what she was going to do.
And she would not change her mind.
Her decision was set in stone, and she knew Kendrix could see that.
"Say something." Sylvia was anxiously waiting for Kendrix to speak.
Kendrix looked at Sylvia, his lips pressed into a thin line. He narrowed his eyes and spat, "I have nothing to say."
Sylvia gaped at him. "Mr. Trevino, can't you give me a definite answer?"
"I don't owe you anything, and I have no obligation to you. You're way too demanding," Kendrix replied in a frosty tone.
Sylvia felt a pang in her chest.
She took a deep breath and looked away. She did not want Kendrix to see her cry.
