CARL’S POV
My heart was racing in my chest as I stared at four of them. This was an unexpected turn of events, and I was clueless on how to go forward from here. I was the type of person that liked to plan, and without I plan, I was hopeless.
“You thought you were so smart,” Asher scoffed as he folded his arms.
Blair stepped forward, his fists clenched by his side. He looked ready to pounce on me, but I has already taken a defensive stance.
“You made the mistake of telling Elliot about the assassination attempt. That way we made sure we were prepared,” Felix said.
I grinned, clapping my hands in their faces. “I am impressed that you all took the initiative to surprise me like this. But telling Elliot was me giving you all a handicapped.”
Blair’s face turned red with anger. “You cocky bastard!”
