Chapter 2: Going to the Northwest Continent

---

After Jiang Xing got approval to go out, he began to let his subordinates gather materials and make elixirs.

Although he had not established his own sect, Jiang Cheng, a six-star Dou Sheng, naturally attracted many alchemists who joined him. The Jiang family had two eighth-grade alchemists, so the entire family became busy preparing for Jiang Xing's journey.

On the evening of the third day, after Jiang Xing received the pills he needed from the alchemists, he returned to his room to practice. In the Douqi Continent, cultivation could replace sleep. He took off his silver robe, sat cross-legged on the bed, closed his eyes, and entered a state of shallow cultivation. This allowed him to separate his soul power to sense his surroundings and stop practicing if needed.

While practicing, he thought, *I will be heading to the northwest continent tomorrow. Grandpa should have made all the arrangements. The only thing I need to do now is improve my strength as quickly as possible to prepare for the future war.*

Jiang Xing had determined the current time period of the original work. There were more than ten years before the ancient Bodhi tree appeared, meaning Xiao Yan should have just become Yao Lao's apprentice. He wasn't sure of Xiao Yan's exact strength but guessed he hadn't reached the level of a Grand Fighter yet.

"Boom~Boom!"

Three knocks on the door interrupted his thoughts. Jiang Xing immediately came out of his practice and looked towards the door in confusion. Although there were many people in the manor, only his grandfather would visit him at this time.

*What does Grandpa want to see me for so late at night?* He pondered but decided not to keep his grandfather waiting. He opened the door and saw Jiang Cheng smiling at him.

"Grandpa, why are you here?" Jiang Xing asked, welcoming him in.

After they sat down, Jiang Cheng waved his hand, and two pitch-black storage rings appeared in his hand. He handed them to Jiang Xing with a slight smile.

"Open it and take a look. These are some training resources I prepared for you, as well as things you might need when you go out," Jiang Cheng said, expecting to see his grandson's surprised expression.

Jiang Xing took the rings and weighed them. He guessed they contained many elixirs and treasures, given his grandfather's abilities. He probed his soul power into one ring and was shocked to see shelves filled with jade bottles, emitting a rich fragrance of elixir.

"Grandpa, these pills must be of the fifth grade or above," Jiang Xing said, amazed.

Jiang Cheng smiled, "Xing'er, the lowest quality elixirs here are grade six. I brought you all the elixirs you might need for your training. With these, it should be enough."

Jiang Xing glanced at his grandfather, expressing his gratitude silently. There was no need for formal thanks between relatives.

"When you are away from home and Grandpa is not by your side, safety comes first. If there is any danger, just crush this jade and summon Grandpa. I will come to help you as soon as possible," Jiang Cheng advised.

"Grandpa, I will be careful and safe. Don't worry, I will come back to see you soon," Jiang Xing reassured him.

The next morning, Jiang Xing packed his things and met Ji Feng outside. Ji Feng informed him that his grandfather had gone out for something, so they set off for the northwest continent.

After a month of travel, Jiang Xing and Ji Feng arrived at the border of the Northwestern Continent.

"Young Master, the area ahead is the northwest continent. Where should we go first?" Ji Feng asked, pointing at their location on the map.

Jiang Xing traced his finger on the map and stopped at "Gama Empire Monster Mountain Range." "Let's go to the Gama Empire's Monster Mountain Range first."

"Okay, young master," Ji Feng replied, tearing open a space for them to step into.

After a day of travel, they arrived at the Monster Mountain Range and quickly found the Amethyst Winged Lion King's cave. Jiang Xing released his aura, provoking the lion to come out.

"Roar~Roar!" The Amethyst Winged Lion King flew out, but upon seeing two humans in the air, it quickly suppressed its aura, recognizing them as Dou Zongs.

"My two Dou Zong masters, I didn't know you were coming. I apologize for being rude," the lion said humbly.

"King of the Amethyst Winged Lion, hand over the Amethyst Source that is a specialty of your clan," Jiang Xing demanded.

"Master Dou Zong, just three months ago, a human Dou Huang and a Dou Zhe broke in and snatched away the Companion Purple Crystal Source," the lion explained, recalling the incident with anger.

Jiang Xing suspected that Xiao Yan and Yun Yun had taken the Purple Spirit Crystal and the accompanying Purple Crystal Source. To confirm, he sent Ji Feng to check the cave.

Ji Feng returned, saying, "Young Master, the companion purple crystal source is indeed gone. Could it have hidden it before coming out?"

Seeing Ji Feng's unfriendly gaze, the Amethyst Winged Lion King trembled, fearing a misunderstanding. Jiang Xing pondered the situation, considering their next move.
