Chapter 1: Traveling Through Time

In a small village on the outskirts of Soto City, within the Barak Kingdom of the Tiandou Empire, a remarkable event was unfolding.

"Hmm, have I traveled through time? This is outrageous."

A three-year-old child rose from the ground, examining his hands as he spoke to himself.

"Xiaochen, Xiaochen, your grandpa is back."

An old man's voice echoed from outside.

The little boy, Li Luochen, was a time traveler whose memories from a past life had just resurfaced. At three years old, his young soul could finally bear the weight of these memories. Before this moment, Li Luochen's mind had been a confusing blend of clarity and confusion.

"Hey, you seem in good shape now. Don't shout for resurrection, my love, the king should not be insulted. Who claims to be invincible? Come, let grandpa treat you with pity."

The old man, dressed like a farmer but exuding the aura of a powerful soul master, was Li Yusong, Li Luochen's grandfather. Li Yusong was no ordinary farmer; he was a genuine Soul King, a teacher at Shrek Academy, currently 48 years old and with a soul power level of 58.

Hearing his grandfather's words, Li Luochen felt his face redden. How could he have spoken so wildly when his memories were jumbled? He could not handle such bold claims of invincibility.

"Grandpa, I think my head is fine. I just fell down and it seems I am back to normal now."

Li Luochen gazed at his grandfather. Li Luochen's parents, also soul masters, had tragically died when he was just a year old, leaving him in the care of his grandfather, Li Yusong. Despite the sorrow of losing his son and daughter-in-law, Li Yusong dedicated himself to raising his only grandson with great care.

"Oh really? Who am I? What's my name?" Li Yusong asked, unconvinced.

"You are my grandfather, your name is Li Yusong, and my name is Li Luochen. My parents' names are..."

Hearing this, Li Yusong was almost moved to tears. His silly grandson was finally normal. It seemed the heavens had stopped their cruel joke.

"Xiaochen, you didn't just wake up, did you? You will change back again soon," Li Yusong said, his voice filled with concern.

"It shouldn't be like that. My mind was not normal and I was confused before. It felt like I was having a nightmare. Now I feel clear-headed."

Li Luochen touched his little head, feeling the bump from his recent fall.

"Hahahahaha, great. Our old Li's precious grandson is finally normal. Xiaochen, grandpa went to catch a big wild boar today. How about celebrating your normalization?" Li Yusong's joy was palpable.

"Okay, grandpa. Please be safe. I can't wait to eat your barbecue again. Grandpa's barbecue is really amazing."

Li Yusong, adept in both martial and domestic skills, quickly set off to hunt. With his strength, hunting a wild boar was a simple task.

"I've traveled through time, and it's quite real. Grandpa Li Yusong? I remember he had a dragon-patterned staff spirit. Could he be the admissions teacher at Shrek Academy? Although grandpa is not very talented, he is still a powerful Soul King, well-respected in this small town."

Lying under a big tree, Li Luochen pondered his situation. His home, a peaceful village outside Soto City, was serene. But the memories of his erratic behavior still lingered.

"In this world of Douluo Continent, with soul beasts, soul rings, soul bones, gods, immortal grass, empires, nobility, academies, and the Spirit Hall, survival is not guaranteed. My future depends on my talent and my martial soul. If I have low talent, I can still live a peaceful life by the sea, but if I have high talent, I must strive to become powerful."

Li Luochen's musings were interrupted as the sun began to set and Li Yusong returned, a successful hunt evident in his cheerful demeanor.

"Grandpa, you're back! How was the harvest?"

"Hahaha, I was lucky today. I intended to hunt a wild boar, but I encountered a ten-year-old forest pig soul beast. Its meat is tender and fresh, perfect for a celebration. Xiaochen, wait for grandpa to cook this pig well."
