Chapter 34

In the corridor, Smith approached, her face lighting up upon seeing Harper. "That's wonderful news! We have good news to start the year!"

Although here was a nursing home, it was more accurately described as a convalescent home, with top-notch facilities and conducive to recuperation.

Over the years, Smith had seen many vegetative patients, but very few woke up like Harper did. She only took a half year to regain consciousness, which was very rare.

After the New Year, the elderly residents gradually returned here. Today was another rare warm and sunny day. There were quite a few people in the garden, the elderly scattered about in pairs or groups of three, chatting, dancing, playing chess, and cards. There was even an old man who set up a stove to roast sweet potatoes and chestnuts.

Almost everyone knew Grace, and naturally they also knew Harper, whom she had been taking care of. When they saw Harper awake, they all said she was blessed.
