Gu Nanyan slowed her pace and, as always with a smile, said, "Planning to sue me?" It sounded as if she and Lu Beicheng were not married, just familiar acquaintances.
Lu Beicheng flicked the half-smoked cigarette he was holding to the ground and stomped it out: "Don't you plan on coming home?"
Gu Nanyan raised an eyebrow and glanced at her front door, "Hey! There's my house."
Lu Beicheng, with hands in his pockets, stared at Gu Nanyan and after a long silence said, "Gu Nanyan, I've come over here. Let's both compromise, and moreover, mom is starting to get suspicious."
Gu Nanyan wanted to laugh.
She had already retreated to the point where there was no room left; where else could she go?
But feeling too lazy to argue about right and wrong with Lu Beicheng, she yawned and said, "Handle your mom on your own; I need to go home to sleep."
As Gu Nanyan was heading to the entrance, Lu Beicheng reached out and grabbed her arm.
