Vol-2: 097. Give Them a Taste of Domination

097. Give Them a Taste of Domination

Although the DM-303 reagent took effect instantly, the chances of obtaining rare Omega Energies significantly decreased. Out of the thousands of Omega Awakening reagents Li Aozi injected, 70% were Alpha or Beta-level Omega Energies, most of which were either unusable or unmatched with Li Aozi's current strength.

Even with his stacked stats, totaling an impressive 106.6 points of [Charisma], a mediocre Beta-level Omega Energy like [Current Discharge] could still produce a lightning strike effect. But instead of trying to unlock its potential, it was more efficient to crush it into genetic fragments and feed it to better Omega Energies.

However, there were still a few pleasant surprises along the way.

Within seven days, using a combination of formulas from his memory and those crafted by hardcore players, Li Aozi managed to fuse several useful or promising Omega Energies:

——————————

[Power of Pegasus]: Lambda-level (Λ, the 11th letter of the Greek alphabet) Omega Energy, benefiting both [Constitution] and [Charisma]. The fantastical Pegasus, known for its elegance and immense strength, was said to pull the chariots of gods in legend.

Omega Energy Effects:

Active Activation – You manifest the magnificent wings of Pegasus, your physique becomes more robust, and you lose your "weight" while flying without air resistance.

Passive State – You receive the blessing of Pegasus. The higher your [Charisma], the less damage targets with "divinity" inflict on you.

"The sight of Pegasus galloping through the Milky Way is called a 'shooting star' by mortals."

[Power of Pegasus] originates from Sequence 98: Fantasy Beasts. Though it ranks low among Omega Energies, it aligns well with the attributes of the [Starfall Master] path and supports Li Aozi's frail frame.

Oh, and even though it's Sequence 98, it can still outperform [Bloodline] powers.

——————————

[Castling]: Kappa-level (k, the 10th letter of the Greek alphabet) Omega Energy, benefiting both [Intelligence] and [Charisma]. In chess, there is a special move where each player has the opportunity to move their king and a rook simultaneously; this is known as castling.

Omega Energy Effects:

Active Activation – Creates an illusionary clone. Within a 500-kilometer radius, you can switch places with it at any time.

Passive State – Increases [Intelligence] boost by 10%.

"A delightful game requires my delight, and my opponent's despair."

[Castling] is a highly practical Omega Energy. Li Aozi specifically upgraded it to Kappa-level to reduce its cooldown to three minutes, making the three-minute position swap ideal for causing chaos during the Kowloon Meeting.

[Castling] is essential in professional matches. Every pro player has one, even if they aren't part of the [Domination] class, just because the Omega Energy is so handy.

Why? Because this Omega Energy is simply too useful.

Such a powerful life-saving ability is like holding an extra "get out of jail free" card, maximizing tolerance for mistakes. It's akin to aerial dogfighting, always finding a way to flank the enemy. Many amazing comebacks and clutch plays were achieved thanks to [Castling].

However, compared to the next Omega Energy, the dramatic effect of [Castling] pales in comparison.

——————————

[Death Link]: Rho-level (p, the 17th letter of the Greek alphabet) Omega Energy, benefiting both [Constitution] and [Charisma]. You have mastered the laws of death and begun to toy with the inevitable conclusion of equality in death—now, you are a true artist.

Omega Energy Effects:

Active Activation – You can select several targets. If successful, their "death" will be linked together.

Passive State – Any damage that exceeds your maximum health will not take effect immediately. Instead, 55% of the damage will be converted into a "decay" effect, slowly reducing your health over 15 seconds.

"I toy with death. Does that make you angry?"

Originally a Delta-level Omega Energy, Li Aozi forcibly upgraded it to Rho-level. For him, this was the most shameless and absurd early-game Omega Energy.

At first glance, the death-linking effect seems like it would only spread one person's death to others, which doesn't sound particularly useful.

And that's true. This Omega Energy was common among assassins and killers, neither rare nor particularly effective.

After all, if you want large-scale destruction, wouldn't it be easier to just drop a nuke?

True, but there's a problem with nukes—they can't effectively damage underground fortifications.

And the most absurd part of [Death Link] is... it has no range limit, nor does it have any "obstacles."

Pay attention to its description: you can select several targets.

No distance. No limit on the number of targets. No obstacles. No restrictions on race or category.

In theory, a Rho-level [Death Link] could target anything.

Living beings, corpses, rocks, cars, buildings, warships, even planets.

Moreover, Li Aozi knew a very advanced technique for using this Omega Energy:

Select yourself as a target, and transfer your "death" to the bound target. If you take fatal damage, the target will instead bear the brunt of that damage.

This technique is perfect for classes like [Mechanic], [Biochemist], [Summoner], and [Medium]—those who rely on pets or minions. It's an incredibly strong damage-soaking ability.

For Li Aozi, the official appearance of [Death Link] signaled the completion of his "Blood Demon Flow" build.

In a previous era, a [Mutant] player came up with the idea of combining the common Omega Energies [Life Drain] and [Death Link].

The result was not only a winning streak in duels but also a highly effective strategy for fighting outnumbered, even against large groups. Without specific countermeasures from a [Biochemist], a blood demon flow [Mutant] could easily outlast several opponents in battle.

[Vitality Sever] would drain blood and deal percentage damage, while [Death Link] provided damage transfer and area damage.

You could even take it a step further—light yourself on fire at the start and link yourself to your enemies.

Since [Death Link] only transfers death effects and damage, healing and regeneration don't apply. The result is that your own self-inflicted damage transfers to your enemies, while their lost health is absorbed by your [Life Drain].

Observant players quickly noticed that while this build lacked burst power without high-damage Omega Energies like [Natural Ignition], it was a highly accessible setup that could turn a melee caster into a heavy-armored warrior.

"The Kowloon Meeting is about to begin. It's time to make my move."

Li Aozi's top-tier "Blood Demon Flow" build was about to give the arrogant Tianhuan people a taste of what true Domination power feels like.
