Chapter 149: Death on the Court

Watching the man's puzzled expression, An Yan furrowed her brow.

She grasped the man's wrist. "Ayan, what's wrong?"

Fu Shiyan shook his head, and then clasped her hand, his fingertips gently hooking her palm. "Nothing, I'm fine."

An Yan sensed something subtly amiss but couldn't pinpoint what it was.

Qiu Ye sat there, her face beaming with joy, her voice consistently audible over the table.

Whenever Fu Shiyan looked up, he could see that hint of red.

He had never before been so hallucinated by a color. What was happening?

He glanced sideways at An Yan and said, "I need to go to the restroom."

An Yan nodded as she watched him stand and leave the private room.

Soon after, Gu Han asked if there was milk available, feeling discomfort in his stomach.

Qiu Ye quickly stood up, "Doctor Gu, I'll go and ask for you."

At the washstand in the restroom, Fu Shiyan scooped up some water and splashed it onto his face.
