Chapter 19: How to Blow a Girl's Hair

As a man himself, Mo Qianyan knew how to tiptoe around Mo Nanze's minefields.

Watching Mo Nanze's expression grow darker and darker, he looked at the two of them with a triumphant gaze, brimming with provocation.

Lu Yinfeng had never imagined that Mo Qianyan would say such shameless words in front of her parents.

Her face flushed with embarrassment, and although she wanted to defend herself, she genuinely didn't know what to say.

Should she say she wasn't the woman he did not want? Or that she wasn't frustrated sexually? Was she supposed to clarify to these people that, throughout their three years of marriage, they had never once slept together?

Whatever she said would only push Lu Yinfeng into a more embarrassing situation.

She bit her lip tightly and looked up at Mo Nanze.

Mo Nanze's brow furrowed, his eyes narrowing, and his expression grew colder.

It seemed it was time to give Li Haiguang some useful legal advice.

"Qianyan, where did you learn such nonsense? How could you talk back to your Little Uncle like that!" Lin Yue hurriedly tried to smooth things over, rising to pull Mo Qianyan back.

After all, she still needed Mo Nanze in their negotiations with Li Haiguang, and Lin Yue certainly didn't want to burn bridges with him.

"Nanze, this child is a bit immature. Don't take it to heart," Lin Yue said with an apologetic smile.

However, Mo Nanze was out of patience with this family; they were all cut from the same cloth.

Inherently arrogant yet hypocritical and selfish.

"Let's go," Mo Nanze said, taking Lu Yinfeng's hand and leading the dispirited Lu Yinfeng away from this oppressive place.

Mo Nanze leaving greatly excited Mo Qianyan.

He cheered with raised arms, not forgetting to curse, "Two peas in a pod, despicable people!"

He thought Mo Nanze was fleeing in disarray, not realizing that Mo Nanze didn't want to play such immature verbal games with him.

Adults should set their battlefields on a higher level.

Mo Nanze brought Lu Yinfeng to the car and found her still in a daze.

Mo Nanze set his hands on the steering wheel, not in a hurry to leave. He looked down and casually asked, "Did his words just now hurt you?"

Lu Yinfeng felt uncomfortable and inexplicably wanted to explain something to Mo Nanze.

"That Little Uncle, actually… actually I didn't…"

As the words came to her lips, Lu Yinfeng found herself unable to continue.

Explaining this matter to Mo Nanze somehow felt bizarre. She regained a bit of rationality, turned her head towards the car window, and pretended to be indifferent, "It's fine, Little Uncle, let's go."

Mo Nanze's fingertips tapped lightly on the steering wheel.

After nearly a minute of silence, he said with a half-smile, "I know Mo Qianyan was just talking nonsense deliberately to belittle you. Don't take it to heart. Whether you are sexually frustrated or not, I am quite aware."

As Mo Nanze uttered those last words, the corner of his mouth twitched subtly. Through the rearview mirror, he saw Lu Yinfeng's ears gradually turning red.

Then, he started the car and drove out of the Mo Family Mansion.

Mo Nanze brought Lu Yinfeng back home and said to her, "Go take a bath and relax a bit."

Lu Yinfeng nodded obediently.

Being pressed by Mo Qianyan today made her feel utterly disgusted.

After her bath, Lu Yinfeng came out to see Mo Nanze lying on the sofa with a laptop on his thighs. His long fingers were rapidly typing on the keyboard, and the light from the screen illuminated his face, which was wholly engrossed.

Lu Yinfeng then remembered that when she called Mo Nanze, they seemed to be in a meeting.

This busy top lawyer, Mo Nanze, had appeared by her side the moment she needed him.

He must have postponed a lot of work for her sake.

Thinking this, Lu Yinfeng couldn't help but feel a wave of guilt.

After Mo Nanze finished his work, he took the display screen off and only then noticed Lu Yinfeng standing not far away, staring at him in a daze.

She was wearing a loose T-shirt, her long hair dripping wet over her shoulders, and beneath it, her slender, tight, and fair legs were visible.

Seeing this scene, Mo Nanze felt a stir of uncontrollable emotions.

He suppressed it and involuntarily licked his lower lip, asking, "Why didn't you dry your hair?"

Lu Yinfeng snapped back to reality and quickly replied, "I just wanted to say thank you."

After speaking, Lu Yinfeng turned around and went back to the bathroom, looking at her flushed face in the mirror and clumsily trying to dry her hair.

Suddenly, she saw Mo Nanze's face in the mirror and was startled.

She turned around and saw Mo Nanze leaning against the door frame, watching her with a nonchalant expression.

"Little Uncle..." Lu Yinfeng was somewhat surprised.

Mo Nanze curled his lips, revealing a light chuckle.

"Did you just get your hands attached? Can't you use a hairdryer?" Mo Nanze's tone was somewhat teasing, but not unpleasant.

"I... I..." Lu Yinfeng, looking at her messy hair in the mirror, couldn't help but laugh.

Mo Nanze sternly took the hairdryer from her hand without a word and said, "Stand still and don't move."

Lu Yinfeng dared not move, standing rigidly on the spot.

Mo Nanze skillfully combed through Lu Yinfeng's hair first, then used the warm air to blow dry her roots, and systematically dried the rest.

Mo Nanze was much taller than Lu Yinfeng, and from his angle, all he had to do was look down slightly to catch a glimpse of spring light through her loose neckline.

So he made an effort to focus on Lu Yinfeng's hair, keeping his gaze from wandering.

Neither of them spoke, the sound of the hairdryer drowning out their increasingly heavy breathing.

Through the mirror, Lu Yinfeng watched Mo Nanze's concentrated and serious expression and was somewhat mesmerized.

By chance, Mo Nanze also looked up into the mirror, locking eyes with Lu Yinfeng's reflection.

Lu Yinfeng was taken aback and quickly averted her gaze, grasping at a random topic.

"Little Uncle, I never expected you to be so good at blow-drying a girl's hair. I'm starting to suspect you learned by sneaking into a hair salon."

Mo Nanze turned off the hairdryer and, while winding up the power cord, said slowly, "In the past, I often blow-dried someone's hair; I guess I blew my way to experience."

"Another woman?" Lu Yinfeng was shocked.

Who could she be, the woman that Mo Nanze often helped blow-dry her hair?

Lu Yinfeng couldn't help but conjure up the image of a woman with flowing long hair in her mind and felt a tinge of sorrow.

Mo Nanze didn't say much and walked out.

Lu Yinfeng could see a fleeting trace of melancholy across his features in the mirror.

After a while, Lu Yinfeng, now in fresh clothes, went to the living room. Mo Nanze was still typing on his laptop, his expression serious and concentrated.

Seeing the empty water glass on the coffee table, she quietly walked over, took the glass and filled it with water before placing it back on the table.

That was all she could do, these insignificant little acts, as a way of expressing her gratitude to Mo Nanze.

After wrapping up his work, Mo Nanze closed his laptop and rubbed his swollen brows.

"Hungry? What do you feel like eating?" Mo Nanze put down his hand and looked up at Lu Yinfeng on the other side.

"Ah? Me? Anything's fine," Lu Yinfeng was not picky.

Mo Nanze noticed that Lu Yinfeng's gaze lingered on him without shifting away.

He immediately looked at her, his face breaking into a teasing expression.

"If you keep staring at me like this, I might misunderstand and think you've taken a liking to me."
