Si Fan had been wandering with Kong Qiuer for over a year.
He grew increasingly convinced of Qiuer's abilities as the odd incidents they encountered in this year exceeded all that he had heard in his previous twenty-something years.
Dressed in their Taoist robes and hair buns, the two of them looked quite out of place walking in the city.
"Junior Uncle-Master, the weather forecast said it's going to rain this evening, so let's not set up a stall," Si Fan said, trailing behind Qiuer with her large backpack on his back.
"No one's going to come for fortunes anyway, they all think we are frauds. You should have brought my master along, his appearance could actually draw some people in," he lamented.
"Let's find a place to stay first; look, the sky's already darkening," Si Fan suggested.
Qiuer covered her ears, "Si Fan, can't you just shut up for once? So annoying!"
