Chapter 13 Be My Woman

In the moving car, Qin Nianwan did not speak. She kept looking out the window, observing the city she had left two years ago, while Fu Shinian looked at her profile. The carriage remained very quiet.

The unease was palpable for Song Yi in the passenger seat. He couldn't understand why Mr. Fu had insisted on bringing him along to pick up his ex-girlfriend when there were clearly matters at the office waiting for him. Now, he could only sit there, too intimidated to even breathe too loudly.

He discreetly signaled the driver to speed up, but either his gestures were too subtle, or the driver was too focused because he seemed completely oblivious to Song Yi's hints.
