Until Su Mu had finished dinner, Wen Han had been reading the newspaper without mentioning the words Zhou Yaxian wanted him to say. However, Su Mu's heart hadn't relaxed, yet she couldn't just keep silent. When she got up to clear the table and head to the kitchen, Wen Han put down the newspaper and spoke:
"I'll do it."
"No need," Su Mu stopped him, "I'll take care of it. You rest."
Wen Han didn't say anything more, but still took over the chore from Su Mu's hands. Su Mu, left with no choice, just tidied up the table and carried the remaining dishes to the kitchen. Since they contained seafood, they couldn't be left, so Su Mu dumped them in the trash, then placed them gently in the sink. Wen Han gave her a glance and smiled faintly:
"That's enough, you can go out. You don't have to keep me company here."
Su Mu gave a light smile but didn't leave, standing to one side watching Wen Han wash the dishes.
