Bend Heaven or Raise Hell

A young woman walked down a lonely path, her auburn hair being blown by the wind, moving to the side. She didn't care to push her hair to the side or even attempt to arrange her disheveled hair. There was someone who always did it for her.

Even at the beautiful sight above her, she refused to look up. The sun was beautifully setting, and it looked so surreal. But the woman had her eyes ahead; she didn't want to enjoy the beauty of nature. She had someone with whom she always enjoyed it.

Her blue eyes weren't filled with excitement, as they usually sparkled in the past, yet they weren't filled with sadness. She had someone who made her feel those emotions, and he wasn't here.

A lot of things were wrong: the weather, the young woman, and most importantly, life.

Jacquelyn felt numb, but not lost. She knew her way back home. She felt a lot of things but not sadness, maybe exhaustion. She couldn't quite explain it.
