"Everard Avignon," Kael repeated the man's name. He watched as the man stepped inside the place, his sunken, dull eyes scanning the room.
There was something different about the man; he looked lost and mostly tired. He slurred even in his footsteps, and it appeared that Everard didn't recognize him. Though the human king had always been that way, just worse now, it didn't worry Kael one bit.
"A new guest..." Egor said with a proud smile, patting Everard's back with his tentacles that now released green, slimy contents.
Kael exhaled. "Am I interrupting something?" he asked casually, clearly not pleased with the demon and his tentacles.
"If you tell me where this place is, I'll be on my way soon. You two can continue with whatever this is."
Egor chuckled. Even his laugh sounded dull to the ear, as if he struggled to make a sound.
