Gezel (II)

The little girl had her jaw dropped as she stared at Kael, "What? No! I don't want to die!"

Kael didn't look at the girl, but he had a smile on his lips. "You're going to die either way, child." He remarked.

"Isn't it better to choose how you want to die? Death as food, shameful and humiliating. You might not even reincarnate to meet your beloved family," the vampire sounded so sweetly that even the demon believed him.

"Or a heroic death like this, if I win you'll have your freedom."

The girl gave it a thought then frowned, "And if I lose?"

"A heroic death, like I said earlier." Kael nodded like death was so easy. He turned to the side, "Don't know why she's worried of death when she's already in hell. Children and their misplaced priorities," he mumbled.

The girl who didn't hear him, clasped her hands together. "Please win,"

"I'll try, but your faith has to be strong enough." Kael nodded.
