"Aha!...stop!"

The sweet voices of girls giggling filled the room Kael was in. Even with his eyes closed, he could still hear their voices, but it wasn't just that.

It was the sweet, heady scent of jasmine and maybe rose... like standing alone in a flower garden at dawn or the sweet perfume of roses after a morning dew kiss. And when a soft wind blew, Kael's skin twitched with it.

Kael felt like he was floating, his body relaxed, the throbbing in his head and the ache in his jaw all disappeared. His whole body felt free, like sinking into a bath after a long day outside.

Was it all a dream? Going to hell? Leaving Jacquelyn's side and meeting the Devil? Was he now back home? Kael turned his head to the side to enjoy the bath if he was truly home.

He needed to rest and tell Jacquelyn about this long dream he had.

"He moves," a tiny voice whispered, and the whole room became quiet.
