Chapter 25

The water from the water ball splashed onto Kazuki's face, and Sakura, who was standing nearby, immediately used her sleeve to wipe it off.

"Kazuki-kun, why did you break this water ball?" she asked.

Kazuki grabbed Sakura's hand, wiped the remaining water from his face, and said, "I'm developing a new ninjutsu."

"What kind of ninjutsu are you working on this time? Is it Water Release?"

Sakura shyly withdrew her hand but couldn't hide her excitement: Kazuki-kun grabbed my hand! That's amazing!!

"No, it's a non-attribute ninjutsu," Kazuki replied. "When I finish developing it, you can learn it too."

"Really?" Sakura asked, her excitement evident.

Her proficiency with the five chakra natures wasn't remarkable, meaning she was slower at learning any type of ninjutsu. She had practiced swordsmanship with Kazuki before, but it was clear she had no talent in that area.

In recent years, the only things Sakura had excelled in were her precise chakra control and her mastery of the Body Flicker Technique.

"Yes, really. This is a very powerful A-rank ninjutsu. Once you learn it, even ordinary ninjas won't stand a chance against you."

"A-rank ninjutsu! Will it be hard to learn?" Sakura asked, her worry creeping in. Even if it was a non-attribute ninjutsu, her learning ability wasn't outstanding.

Kazuki gently stroked her pink hair and comforted her, "Don't worry. This technique isn't too hard to learn. First, you need to condense chakra into a ball in the palm of your hand like I did. Then, use that chakra to burst the water ball, just like I did earlier. Once you can do that, you'll have learned half of it!"

"Is that all?" Sakura didn't quite believe that any A-rank ninjutsu could be so easy to learn, but she decided to give it a try.

However, after several attempts, Sakura realized that this ninjutsu wasn't as simple as it seemed. The first step of condensing a stable and continuous chakra ball was incredibly challenging. It took her hours to master it.

Meanwhile, Kazuki had already completed his training and solidified his chakra ball, which now held considerable power. All that was left was to increase the chakra density and spin it faster to create enough destructive force, turning it into a real Rasengan!

And Kazuki accomplished all this in just one day!

Sakura couldn't help but feel that the gap between them was too wide.

Picking up a water balloon Kazuki had left behind, Sakura began trying to burst it with chakra. But this part of the training proved even harder than the first, and it took several days before she could finally burst a water balloon and move on to the next stage of training.

Ten days later, she finally managed to burst a water balloon and began training with a solid chakra ball.

By this time, Kazuki had already perfected the Rasengan!

"Rasengan!"

"Chidori!"

A blue chakra ball clashed with a lightning-infused ball, the sound of chirping birds echoing as they collided. The impact caused an explosion, stirring up a cloud of dust and debris!

Sasuke and Kazuki soon emerged from the smoke, leaving behind a small crater several meters wide.

Sasuke coughed and looked at the crater with a complicated expression.

"He really created a non-attribute A-rank ninjutsu."

The Chidori Sharp Spear and other Lightning Release techniques Sasuke had developed during this time were all derived from the Chidori. Their difficulty and power weren't quite A-rank.

But Kazuki, just by experimenting, had created a new A-rank ninjutsu—the Rasengan—which was no less powerful than the Chidori!

According to Kazuki, if this Rasengan could be combined with different chakra natures, it could evolve into various versions of Rasengan.

Just the base version was A-rank, so wouldn't adding different natures make it S-rank?

Thinking about this, Sasuke felt an intense sense of urgency. The gap between them was growing!

He didn't want to leave the task of defeating Uchiha Itachi to Kazuki. He wanted to defeat Itachi himself!

At that moment, Kazuki's voice came from the other side.

"It seems I've succeeded. Its power has reached A-rank, enough to easily penetrate wooden stakes and iron blocks. This technique is the best ninjutsu only in the hands of that person."

Kazuki shook his head, not too surprised by the success of the Rasengan.

As a ninjutsu without seals or attributes, the Rasengan was both powerful and easy to perform. But it also had its drawbacks—the attack method was too simple and direct.

While the Chidori was slightly less powerful than the Rasengan, it could achieve a very high hit rate when paired with the Sharingan. The Rasengan couldn't.

If the enemy was fast and agile, it would be difficult for the Rasengan to hit its target—unless it was used in a surprise attack.

In that sense, this was one of the Rasengan's advantages—its subtlety. This technique was most suitable for speed-oriented ninjas, making it perfect for someone like Minato, who had mastered the Flying Thunder God technique.

"If I don't learn Flying Thunder God, I probably won't be able to use this technique effectively," Kazuki said as he tossed the Rasengan training scroll to Sasuke.

"You should take your time developing your Lightning Release techniques. Once you master this one, see if you can combine it with your Fire and Lightning chakra."

Sasuke took the scroll and asked in confusion, "Why don't you try it yourself?"

"Because it would explode."

"..."

Even if non-attribute chakra exploded, it would just produce some gas. But combining Fire and Lightning attributes would result in a much more dangerous explosion.

Kazuki wasn't worried that the ninjutsu would kill him, but he didn't want to look bad while experimenting with it. Plus, with Sasuke's help, he might master a new version of the Rasengan even faster!

With that expectation in mind, Kazuki handed over the project of developing Fire Style Rasengan and Lightning Style Rasengan to Sasuke.

However, he had clearly overestimated Sasuke and underestimated the difficulty of combining the Rasengan with elemental chakra.

Kazuki had expected Sasuke to see results in a week, but weeks passed, and they were nearing graduation, yet Sasuke had made no progress.

If Kazuki hadn't seen Sasuke getting blown up every day, he might have thought Sasuke was slacking off!

"Is it really that hard to add Fire and Lightning chakra?"

Kazuki formed a Rasengan with one hand and stared at it thoughtfully.

He was considering whether to try adding Fire and Lightning chakra himself when he heard another explosion nearby.

Sasuke, covered in dust and coughing up blood, struggled to his feet.

"...Maybe I should leave it to Sasuke after all," Kazuki muttered, dissipating the Rasengan and deciding not to steal Sasuke's thunder. Instead, he quietly enjoyed Sakura's massage.

Among the three girls, Kazuki's favorite wasn't Hinata or Ino, but Sakura!

Though Sakura wasn't as gentle and sweet as Hinata, nor as bold and spirited as Ino, she had one thing they lacked—time.

Hinata often couldn't spend time with Kazuki due to her training and strict family expectations, and Ino was busy helping manage her family's business.

But Sakura was there every day...

Who wouldn't love a sensible and affectionate girlfriend?
