Morgan's POV

I instantly got up, the pain driving me insane. She had poured hot tea on my boobs.

"What is wrong with you?!" Thelma shrieked running over to me with a little towel in her hands.

Control yourself, control yourself Morgan. I took in a deep breath, the pain eating at my chest.

"Here." She said, handing me the towel.

"Thank you." I took the towel from her and wiped the remnant of the liquid off my chest but it was too late for the dress, it had already been ruined.

"Thank you so much Nova Bloom." Mia said. "For ruining my party. But also know that this would be the last party of mine, that you get to attend."

I dropped the towel on the table, picked up my bag, turned and left the party.

Holding everything in, I carefully drove home, like a good citizen would, reminding myself of the warning I had received the last time I had over sped, till I got home.

I got in the bath, my chest red due to the hot tea. I couldn't cry, or rather, I shouldn't cry. First, at the fundraiser, now at the tea party? Her and Dante, getting married? Wow!

I heard the sound of water drop into the bath I was in, and realized that it was a tear. "What is wrong with me?" I asked the bathroom, the pain on my boobs, stinging. "Nothing." I replied after a few seconds. What I needed was distractions, and that was what I was going to get.

I got out of the tub, got dressed and went to find Mr Vontrap. As always, he was in the study with my father.

"May I come in?" I asked after the second knock, walking in before I got a yes.

"Hello dad, hello Mr Vontrap." I said closing the door behind me.

"You don't even wait for a yes do you?"

"Yes and no." I said giggling.

"So?" My dad asked.

"Chill old man, I'm not here for you." I said to him rolling my eyes. "I'm here for Mr Vontrap."

"Me?"

"Yes, you." I replied. "I wanted to get somethings from the mall and was thinking." I started. Mr Vontrap nodded. "Instead of you, maybe I could pick the kids up from school today." I concluded.

"Oh." My father exclaimed.

"And I'll take that as a yes."

"I thought you weren't talking to me."

"Does it matter?" I smiled, jumping my way out of the office before any of them could stop me.

I got to the mall, deciding to get more of Ralph Lauren's pieces and Maison Christian Louboutin's shoes, then I saw him. The man from the fundraiser who had saved me out of the sticky situation with Dante and Nova.

"Is anything the matter miss Rosewood?" The manager walked up to me and.

"No." I replied. "Nothing." Then I realized why he had asked that question. I was sitting in the floor, folded up. Dusting myself, I stood up from the floor, careful not to be seen.

"Is there anyone you are avoiding?" He asked trying to follow my gaze. He saw no one, or maybe he did and pretended to see no one.

"No. I'm not hiding from anyone." I said with an uneasy laugh. "I just lost my footing there." I replied turning to the clothes, my back to the man I had used at the fundraiser. The last thing I wanted was to be seen by him. I had used him and thrown away his business card that he had given to me. And if I met him now, he would want an explanation, because that was typical for men. You give then your pinky, they grab your hand. And there was no way I was going to let that happ... I ducked again.

"That was close." I whispered, then noticed the manager's confused eyes on me. "Sorry." I said, rising.

Please let him leave, please let him leave. And less than forty five minutes later, he was through with whatever business he had in the mall, and off he was in his car.

I heaved a sigh of relief and continued my shopping wary of the confused looks that was coming from the staff all around. That wasn't my impending problem, so who cared.

Shopping went by smoothly, and then I headed to Miranda and Cole's school to pick them up. By the time I got there, parents were already picking their children up from school. It was one of the mose prestigious schools in London, specially for the elite. It was literally called 'the Elites.' It's land mass was about five acres of land with an environment well suited to a school. The walls were painted with white paint that looked kind of glossy that it almost glistened in the sun.

I could see Cole and Miranda sitting together with two other children. From the looks on their faces, they seemed to be talking about something very important. I walked towards them, carefully watching as their expressions changed with every minute.

"Hello sweeties." All four of them jolted as if they had been brought back to reality. "Did I disturb something?" I asked.

"Not really." One of the boys with Cole and Miranda spoke up. "Goodday ma, I'm Finn, Cole and Miranda's friend. You must be their mother."

"Yes, I am." I said to him. "Nice to meet you too Finn."

"And I'm Pedro, Finn's twin brother." The other said, getting to his feet. "Nice to meet you ma'am." He said extending an arm.

"You too Pedro." I took his hand, shaking it gently. "It was nice meeting both of you." I sad to the both of them.

"Shall we?" I said to Cole and Miranda. They both nodded.

"See you on Saturday." Pedro and Finn said in unison before running off.

"Saturday?" I asked looking from Cole to Miranda. Miranda nudged Cole forward.

"Well..." He started, then cleared his throat. "Pedro and Finn... are... are... my classmates." He cleared his throat again. "And.. and.. Saturday...is their birthday.... And..."

I was still waiting for the full information, while wondering what it was he wanted to say.

"And..."

"And they invited us as their friends. Or more like event planners." Miranda completed.

"Can we go?" Cole asked, him and his sister looking at me with pleading eyes.

"Sure." I smiled. "You can." They looked at each other, then smiled. "Now let's get into the car." I said taking them by the hand. But just as I was about to get into the car, I saw a movement at the corner of my eye and then I felt it.

Someone was watching me.
