Morgan's POV
Dante drove to the hotel while I laid down silently in the back seat of the car. The warmth was what I really needed and even though I would never say it out loud, I was glad that he had come to find me.
We got to the hotel, the receptionist still there at the desk watching us as we both went inside. Inside, I walked straight to the bathroom, getting out of my wet cloths and took a steaming bath. By the time I was out, Dante had ordered dinner.
"I don't know what you would want to eat, so I got chicken and coke."
Without giving him a reply, I sat down on one of the couches, and began to eat. The chicken sure was tasty and I cleared out the box before I knew what I had done.
"Morgan..."
"I'm not in my best mood Dante. Leave me alone." I had barely finished the sentence when I sneezed. Wow! First off, humiliation thanks to Dante, second humiliation thanks to no card, no phone, now I've caught a cold.
"I'll get you medications." He got up from the couch he was sitting on and left the room. I exhaled and laid on the couch looking at the ceiling. In less than two minutes, he was back with the cold medication. From the fridge, he got me a bottle of water. He was about to open it when I took the bottle from him.
"I can take it from here." I said to him, taking the cold medication and lying back on the couch.
"You can have the bed." He got up, and got some blankets which he used to cover himself as he laid on one of the couches. If he said I could have the bed, why wouldn't I?
The bed was soft, but my bed back home was much more comfortable. I laid there for minutes, not knowing how long I had been turning uncomfortably on the bed. After some hours, I got up from the bed and went back to the couch I had been lying on. The next time I opened my eyes, it was morning. The couch seemed much more comfortable than the bed.
Dante was no where to be seen, so I took my bath, and settled for a cream coloured suit with pearls around the waist and rose gold jewelry. The shoe was also a cream coloured red bottom. I was curling my hair when Dante returned with breakfast.
"Good morning." He said to me with a smile
"Morning."
"I went to get breakfast..."
"I'll pass." I responded, not sparing him a glance as I still curling my hair.
"Okay." He left for the bathroom, dropping whatever it was he got for breakfast on the table. His bathe was quite quick and he was through with his dressing by the time I finished curling my hair. I adorned my ear with some pearl earrings and added some hair wax to my edges. With a cream bag, I was more than ready to go.
There!
Wait, my card and my phone. I couldn't beat what happened to me to repeat itself.
"You're ready." Dante said when he spotted me.
"And so are you." I responded. "Shall we?" Before he could I've me an answer, I was out of the room, heading outside towards the car.

My phone began to ring, turning the heads of all in the room to me.
"I'm sorry " I whispered, silencing the call. I looked at the screen and the name I saw drew bile to my throat. I declined the call with annoyance, and silenced my phone. I hadn't dropped it when it began to vibrate in my bag. Dammit!! Didn't she have something better to do?
I excuse myself, moving to the restroom to take the call. "What do you want?"
"Put Dante on the line please."" What the hell?!
"I believe you have his number!" I hung up, turning to leave when I phone began to vibrate again. "What?! I hope you know I'm in the middle of a meeting."
"Why don't you want to put me on the line with Dante?" She asked.
"Call him." I was about to hang up when she spoke
"His phone's switched off. And I figured since you were in a trip as business partners..." With a lot of stress on the business partners. "I figured I could reach him through you."
"Well you can't. Wait until his phone's back on, then you can speak to him."
"Ohh... Don't tell me you're jealous. Are you?" Did I just walk out of an important meeting to listen to crap? "Or do you still have feelings for him?"The amusement in her voice was something way more than mockery. I hung up before she could say anything else, and blocked her. I wondered why I even had her number in the first place.
I walked back to the meeting which thankfully, ended well with a supplier of our own. It was late afternoon by the time all was over. We were to leave the next day, but I wasn't one to leave a place of vacation without souvenir. I had to get something for my dad, Cole, Miranda and myself. Sabrina crossed my mind, but I rules her name off the paper.
"I'll drop at the entrance of that supermarket." The supermarket name was in Korean, but I could at least make out the word 'mateu' from all that was written there. He got out with me, making look at him questioningly. "What are you doing?"
"I'll wait for you."
"Did I tell you I needed a body guard or a babysitter?"
"A babysitter?"
"When I'm done with what I'm here to do, I'll meet you at the hotel, and we'll go back together. But for now, I'm fine."
I turned round, walking into the supermarket, picking anything I knew Cole and Miranda would love from the shelves.
I got to the tea section, taking packs of different flavours of tea. My dad and I were tea people, so he would be glad to have a lot of flavours on his desk for him to choose from. The arrangement of the fruit section was what drew my attention. The fruits there were arrayed based on colour, making the colour combination eye candy for customers. I picked a couple fruits, cute notebooks, pens and some other things of worth, and went to pay.
"Here." I gave the sales girl my card. It made a sound that meant trouble. That sound was only made by a declined card. My card could not be saying declined.
"Your card is being declined ma'am."
"Try it again please." I said to her.
Declined. What the hell?
"Here, charge it."
I took the card from the sales girl, handing it back to the good Samaritan. "I'm fine." I said to him. "One second." I said to the sales girl, dialing my dad's number.
"Hello Morgan." The voice came on.
"What are you doing with dad's phone?" I asked with contempt before I realized the word were out of my mouth.
"Oh. We went out and he's using the restroom now."
"You went out." I gave a little laugh. Nice. I told her to let him know of the reason I was calling, telling her the about to be wired to the supermarket. A minute later, it was done. "Thank you." I smiled at the sales girl walking out of the supermarket.
"Morgan." Dante called when we were out of the supermarket. I totally ignored him.
"Could you open the booth please?"
"I'm talking to you Morgan." He took a hold of my hand, turning back to him, making one of the bags in my hand fall to the floor.
I closed my eye for two seconds, before looking at him, eyeball to eyeball. "What?"
"Why are you giving me the cold shoulder?" I raised a brow at him, shook my head and bent down to pack the things that had fallen to the floor back into the bag. He pulled me up from the floor. "Why are you being so mean to me? " I unhooked my arm from his, picking up the bag that I had finished packing.
"Are you opening the booth or not?"
"Don't change the subject Morgan. Asides finding a supplier, this trip was to bring us closer. I thought we'd get closer."
I scoffed, and began to laugh.
"Did what I say sound funny?"
"Yeah. All of what you said, sounded funny." I was still laughing. I just couldn't stop myself from laughing so hard.
He stood there, watching me like I had become some sort of lunatic.
"You see," I started to say when the laughter had died down. "That was a good laugh. A very good one."
"I still don't get what's funny Morgan."
"No you don't. Because you are funny, and you don't know it." He seemed lost. "Okay. Let me out it this way. You see, you seem to forget things a lot."
"What am I forgetting?" At this time, all traces of my laughter and smile vanished. Was he really dumb to ask me such a stupid question?
"You must be really dumb if you are standing there, asking me what you're forgetting." I took a step closer to him. "Allow me to jog your memory. A married man cheated on his wife with her ex best friend," it was then he realized what I was talking about. " divorces her and throws her out of the house. Four years later, they meet, become business partners, and he begins to ask why she's mean to him."
By the time I was done, the look on his face had changed from annoyance to bland... something. The look in his eyes were looked remorseful and full of guilt and he made to say something, but stopped.
"Got nothing to say, Mr Fontaine?" I asked him." I thought as much. I would never... Ever forgive you for that." Repositioning the bags on both my arms, I looked at the booth. "Are you going to open it?"
"It's open." His voice was a bit more than a whisper.
I walked to the booth, hitting the button that opened the booth, and dropped all that I had purchased into it. Heaven knew that if my card were alright, I would have boarded a taxi that would take me to the hotel rather than ride in this car with Dante.
"Morgan, I..." My phone began to buzz.
"Hey. Winston." I felt butterflies in my stomach at his call. Had I been unknowingly waiting for his call throughout this trip?
"Morgan. How was the meeting?"
Without looking at Dante it caring about what it was he had to say, I got into the car. "Glad it's over." I responded. "Rosewood Enterprise now has a supplier for their latest project. " I sang.
"You sound so happy about it."
"Yeah, I'm happy about it." The door to the driver's seat opened, followed by Dante entering the car.
"I'd really want to hear all about it."
I somehow met the driver's mirror and found out that I was smiling like a little girl that was just gifted candy. "I'll tell you in detail when I get back."
"Okay. I'll see when you get back then."
"Of course." I replied, hanging up.

Dante seemed quiet on the flight home. Like I cared. When we landed, I was more than glad to get out of the space where Dante existed. He carried my luggage and packed it into the car that had been waiting for me. In the car, I could finally breathe. Space! Peace of mind!
I watched through the rear mirror as he stood behind the car, watching it drive away. Getting to the company, I noticed something was off about it. There seemed to be an extra business going about.
I got out of the car, waking into the company. Calls were being made here and there.
"Thank God you're here." Nora exclaimed walking towards me.
"What's going on here?"
"We have a problem."
I looked around. "How big?"
She slowly shook her head, signifying big trouble.
