I couldn't fall asleep, and I didn't magically appear back in my bedroom. I was really stuck here—damn it!
I MISS MY PHONE!
In the original novel, Amit Neant was the son of the great Oliver Neant, a once-fallen noble who clawed his way back up all the way to Archduke status and was also a King-rank swordsman.
Oliver wanted a strong heir, but Amit was your average spoiled young master, and his father had given up on him, choosing to make his sister Anissa his heir instead.
Amit wasn't that talented at first in the game, but later, he suddenly became strong enough to give Hamon, the protagonist, a run for his money—even if he ended up losing in the end.
The reason for this growth? Amit, in the game, if not killed early, would awaken his draconic blood.
Yes, draconic blood. The Neant family used to be so much more powerful and feared because their matriarch fell in love with a full-on fucking dragon!
I don't even want to know how they managed to have children, but it happened. The dragon blood thinned out until it was practically nonexistent.
Somehow, Amit pulled off something nobody in his family had done in over five hundred years and awakened his bloodline. This made Amit shoot up in strength, but it came with a price: his sanity.
Amit would eventually go insane and would be killed by Hamon. This was because the draconic blood messed with his mind.
In the game, Amit developed two personalities: one, the normal spoiled lazy young master, and the other, a mad slaughterer.
As Amit gained strength, so did his alter ego's control over his mind, until he eventually broke and started massacring random academy students.
HOW FUCKED AM I!? I don't feel insane yet, but damn, am I scared. Amit didn't awaken his bloodline until sometime during his suspension… and if I remember correctly, I'm currently suspended.
"FUUUUUUCCKKK!" I screamed.
*****
"FUUUUUCCCCKKK!"
The servants of the Neant vacation house were very perplexed as their young master, Amit, was depressed—or was, at least, a week ago.
A week ago, the young master had ambushed a commoner at Eden Academy, but this commoner had fended off the ambush.
The mystery commoner and the young master had an unofficial duel, and the young master lost badly. So badly, in fact, that Valentina Eldenwire, his fiancée, had broken off the engagement out of embarrassment.
To top it off, the head of the family had sent him away to stay in Tintor because he did not want to see the young master's face.
Over the course of the week, the young master had stayed in his room the entire time, and when some of the braver servants put their ears to the wall, they could hear crying.
It wasn't that much of a surprise, as it was an open secret among the servants that Amit had deeply loved Valentina.
Although originally their families had put them together for political reasons, Amit had fallen head over heels for Valentina. He would do anything she asked and treated her as if she were a goddess.
But suddenly, Amit had begun screaming for no apparent reason about something called a 'phone.' No servant in the vacation house knew what a phone was.
***********
I had finally calmed down and fully accepted my situation and started pondering what to do next. I should leave this place now. why? because I dont wanna die in this shitty town!
I'm referring to the town of Tintor. It was due for a Zelk attack soon and would be razed to the ground, although I don't know why.
In the game, there was a line that said something like that. It was a mystery why Tintor of all towns was attacked.
It was a small town on the outskirts of the human kingdom of Alastia. The Zelk attacked but didn't occupy it and didn't attack any other towns.
To me, it seemed like they wanted something, but it's unknown if they got it or not. In the game, it didn't mention Amit being here either, but I could chalk that up to simply the fact that it didn't need to be covered. It would also explain his bloodline awakening suddenly.
Maybe Amit found what the Zelk were looking for and awakened his bloodline. That would make sense. But what was this mystery item if it was powerful enough to awaken a nearly nonexistent bloodline?
[Synchronization complete!]
[Name: Amit Neant]
[Age: 18]
[Class: Mage]
[Rank: Soldier]
[Innate Skill: Split]
[Innate Skill: Overcharge]
I read over the screen and paused as I saw that I had two innate skills. I don't remember Amit's innate skills, but I know he didn't have two. The lazy bastard was too prideful; he would have told everyone.
Is it because I took over his body? Eh, I won't complain, but I don't know what they do. I tried mentally bringing up the information, but it didn't work. Great, I'm stuck in this shitty game with a shitty system.
[Quest issued!]
[Kill as many Zelk invaders as you can!]
[Zelk 0/???]
[Zelk Captain 0/1]
[Penalty: Game over]
[Reward: [Fast Learner] skill / ????]
Did it fucking hear my thoughts? I'm guessing "game over" means death, so I can't even run away now. although that fast learner skill looks juicy I really wish this goddamned system would just give me my phone! as for the actual quest I have a slight plan, but it would sacrifice so many.
I'm thinking of planting bombs all over the city to kill as many Zelk as possible, but it would kill so many people. People? They aren't people. They're NPCs! I told myself.
I'm not evil for what I'm about to do, right? They're just fakes anyway. This world isn't real its all fake but i knew that I had just lied to myself again
