"Young Master, practice on by yourself, and I'll inform my friends about this news."
Since Le Xaan had already given his agreement, Elder Zaner couldn't wait any longer to convey the news to Cyam Suin.
Cyam Suin caught a cold not long ago. His once robust physique, due to his previous injuries and the lack of maintenance, had become increasingly frail with advancing age.
Even his medicine bill was covered by Elder Zaner.
If not for this, Elder Zaner would not have thought of recommending him to Le Xaan.
Elder Zaner really could not bear to witness the miseries of his old friend.
"Please, Elder Zaner."
Le Xaan bowed to Elder Zaner with clasped hands.
After Elder Zaner walked away, Le Xaan started to practice the Black Tiger Blade Style with great swiftness. The blade streaked through the air, causing the shh-shh noises.
The three moves, Tiger Anger, Tiger Power, and Tiger Roar, could be remixed into three sets of more-than-ten-move combo.
And the three moves could be changed slightly to suit diverse combat scenarios.
For instance, Tiger Anger had variations tailored to counter attacks coming from front, rear, left, right, as well as those aimed at neutralizing hidden weapons, polearms, and heavy weaponry, and etc.
The numbers of such variations were substantial.
Thus, the three moves still demanded extensive practice.
While practicing, a servant jogged into the drill ground. He stood on the side, seemingly waiting for Le Xaan to finish his practice.
Le Xaan frowned and stopped practicing, looking over at the servant.
"What's the matter?"
"Young Master, a young lady named Deumu Wann has arrived. She says she has an appointment with you and is here to visit you."
The servant replied.
"Deumu... Deumu Wann is here..."
Le Xaan was slightly surprised.
After he obtained 'Dark Shadow', he kept training in it but had yet to enter the first level.
This made him doubt the authenticity of 'Dark Shadow'. And Deumu Wann said beforehand that she had access to some inner body Qi cultivation methods.
"Well, have a meeting with her first."
Even though she was a treacherous figure, Le Xaan was not a sheltered wealthy son that she could easily seduce.
"Usher her into the drawing room first, I'll arrive soon."
"Understood."
The servant took his leave.
Le Xaan asked a maidservant to prepare a basin of water for him, and he then washed himself clear of sweat and changed into a white robe before heading for the drawing room.
Walking through the drill ground, the garden, and then a long corridor, he made his way to the drawing room.
Striding through the open door, Le Xaan was greeted with a fair-skin woman with delicate facial features in ivory crescent-moon-shaped earrings. She was wearing a long purple dress, exuding a grand yet elegant aura.
Sure enough, this woman was Deumu Wann, whom he had come across last time.
Seated beside Deumu Wann was Le Xaan's third brother, Le Cinsin, seemingly trying his best to cozy up to Deumu Wann.
Le Cinsin's gaze appeared like sucked into the deep cleavage on Deumu's chest wrapped by a piece of strapless bra.
"Cough! Cough!"
Le Xaan coughed slightly.
Le Cinsin and Deumu Wann immediately turned their heads and noticed Le Xaan's presence.
"Eldest Brother..."
Le Cinsin's face flushed, giving away his embarrassment, and he rose from the chair.
"Eldest Brother, you are here... Lady Deumu is here to look for you..."
Le Cinsin stammered.
"Third Younger Brother, tell the kitchen serve us some plum juices. I have some matters to talk with Miss Deumu Wann."
Le Xaan's authority in their family was great, and he commanded his siblings' respect.
He was not as frivolous as his peers.
He had a younger sister named Le Cinci, who left home to study martial arts a long time ago, and Le Cinsin was his younger brother.
Le Xaan had previously taken over part of the family's businesses, and his showcased talent and capabilities made Le Finn sure that he was the most suitable successor.
As Le Xaan would be the future family head, all the members of the Le family revered and curried favor with him all the time. Their livelihoods in the days to come would be at the mercy of Le Xaan, after all.
"Xaan, such a coincidence that I have a pot of plum juices right now. Please enjoy it with your friend. It's already chilled, very tasty."
From outside the door, Le Xaan's Fifth Mother, Le Finn's fifth concubine, walked over with a pot in hand.
His Fifth Mother had a daughter named Le Yinin. Nominally, she was Le Xaan's Fifth Mother, but once Le Finn passed away someday, Le Xaan was not obligated to provide for her and Le Yinin. Thus, his Fifth Mother and Le Yinin had always fawned upon Le Xaan, probably in fear that they might be chased out of the house after Le Finn's passing. It's crucial for them to stay cosy with Le Xaan, the future family head, if they wanted to maintain their current comfortable and superior lives.
"So considerate of you, Fifth Mother." Le Xaan took the pot from her and placed it on the table. "I am going to entertain the guest, so you could leave now."
"Yes, yes, Xaan. Then I don't bother you and leave first." His Fifth Mother smiled all over her face and then took her leave while casting a glance at Deumu Wann.
His Fifth Mother was a little over thirty, a pretty woman. But her beauty was ostensibly less impressive than that of Deumu Wann.
"Then I shall leave as well." Le Cinsin also bid his farewell.
