Volume 1 Chapter 32: Selling the shares
Lei Feng spent his days either in college or in the office. There he had several interactions with Gu Ling. Surprisingly she did not make his life as difficult as he expected her to.
After a time, his hatred against her faded little by little, and now they converse normally without taunting each other.
Lei Feng contacted Gu Feitian and asked him to come to Beijing. He wanted to find clues about this Lin Fang. The last time he saw him reminiscing about her so he was sure if he came to Beijing she would take Gu Tianchen to have a family get-together.
Lei Feng was sitting in his office when the paparazzi he hired to monitor Gu Feitian sent some photos. He saw Gu Feitian and Gu Tianchen standing in front of a white villa and a middle-aged woman hugging them. She might not look better than Zhao Lang but she had a gentle smile on her face that made that home complete. The whole family entered the house hand in hand talking nonstop.
They looked like a happy family.
Lei Feng transferred 50,000 RMB to him and asked him to keep monitoring.
Finally having a lead on Lin Fang, he saw his revenge getting real. All that planning finally came to something fruitful.
Evening, Lei Feng asked Gu Ling to accompany him for a meeting. Gu Ling was surprised but after knowing it was a regular meeting she did as asked. Unknown to her, there was nothing regular about this meeting.
Gu Feitian came to The CIVIC Tower, he was amazed by the grandeur of this building. He encouraged himself 'After I take back all the shares from this beast, I will make a better one.'
He took the elevator and came to the 198th floor. He thought Lei Feng would have rented a small space for official purposes on this floor. In all the 14 million possible timelines he could comprehend, Not a single one would he have imagined his abandoned son owning rights to 20 floors in this skyscraper. He soon reached the designated meeting room while the secretary informed Lei Feng of his arrival.
(They were both on the same floor. Gu Ling was not allowed to floors 199, 200, and 201 so her office was on the 198th floor.)

Gu Feitian admired the location and structure of the building while planning on renting a few spaces for dealings in the future. He wanted to open a branch of the Ancient Group here in the future, or even let Gu Tianchen exercise his hands here. He has been pestered by Gu Tianchen and Zhao Lang endlessly for letting Gu Tianchen start a business as well after seeing Lei Feng flourishing.
Where can he find the money for such an extravagant request? So he told them that Gu Tianchen had money in his account. Start working with it.
If he still needs help, then Gu Feitian will put in more money. After sending the duo away he aggressively started to liquidate his assets and mortgaged some to gather money. Finally, he managed to scrap together 180 Billion RMB. He was cursing Lei Feng throughout the process feeling all his hard earnings flowing away.
He consoled himself that the future would be better.
He heard the gate open and looked in that direction with a forced smile on his face. Soon the smile turned into a hideous expression when he saw Gu Ling coming in.
She was shocked to see him here.
Lei Feng walked in and sat down as if there was nothing to be surprised about the people present. She glared at Lei Feng but after receiving no response she sat down beside him.
"What is the meaning of all this?!!!" Gu Feitian gritted his teeth as he uttered this sentence.
"What meaning? We are here to deal with the shares of the Ancient Group, there is no other meaning." Lei Feng spoke as if nothing was worth noting here.
"What is she doing here?!" Gu Feitian glared and pointed at her.
"You have no shame? Not only did you run from home and stop coming to the company without any notice. You dared to work for him?"
Gu Ling shrugged, "I work here. That is also the reason why I am here. Mr. Gu, can we talk about business matters?"
"Business matters can be dealt with. You will be coming back with me after this meeting. I have arranged a marriage for you with Shen Yiping, the young master of Saint Group. "No." She just said one word and nudged Lei Feng to deal with matters for which they had gathered.
"Do you have the money prepared?" Lei Feng said.
Gu Feitian controlled his anger and said with a serious tone. "Yes, Do you have agreements ready?"
"Yes, but...~" Lei Feng replied.
Gu Feitian felt his heartbeat stop for a second and said anxiously, "But? But what?"
He sold almost 95% of his personal assets to gather the money needed for this deal. Leaving a little over 100 million in cash and the Villa they lived in, he did not have any other source of funds now.
Lei Feng smiled and continued, ".. But, I had entered into an agreement with Ms. Gu Here. So I can only sell 41% of the shares now. The price remains the same."
Gu Ling was surprised by the sudden development while Gu Feitian was reaching new limits of anger and hatred.
With that, he took a few folders out of his bag and presented them to Lei Feng. Who took the folder and asked the lawyer to check for any traps. After a re-drafting, they both signed papers and transferred the money.
Gu Ling also went through the papers and was amazed by the amount involved in this transaction. She was the eldest daughter of the family but Gu Feitian never told her anything more than needed. Surprising her that her father could come up with such a large amount.
Lei Feng did not mention anything about the bet agreement after that.
"I am waiting for you downstairs." Gu Feitian said to Gu Ling and left the office.
Seeing that she could not dodge this bullet she glared at Lei Feng and followed him down. Under the pressure of numerous threats, she compromised and promised to go on a blind date with Shen Yiping.
