The performance was over and everyone started applauding saying they would be popular for sure. Gu Tianchen saw him arriving, he stood up and gave Lei Feng a meaningful smile.
He walked up to Zhu Yiting and held her hand. Zhao Lang and family were looking at all this and imagining their future life with Zhu Yiting as her daughter/sister-in-law.
Gu Ling silently approached Lei Feng and stood beside him to show her standing. Zhao Lang and their daughters glared at her but did not make a scene.
Gu Feitian and Father Zhu were discussing business.
They came down the stage and walked towards the two families. Gu Tianchen was giving Lei Feng side glances all the way trying to mock him.
Gu Ling wanted to reprimand him but when she saw Lei Feng was indifferent about it, she stopped.
He stood there for a few minutes and planned to walk away. There was nothing worth watching here. Gu Ling followed him out.
They met with a few of the coordinators who teamed up with DouYin after exiting the building.
"Mr. Lei and Ms. Gu we were looking for you, The Propaganda department wants to talk to you about future cooperation. They also said other colleges are there as well wanting to use DouYin to cover their Freshmen Gala as well." the leading woman said.
Gu Ling stepped forward and greeted her, "Thank you for your recognition, I will go with you to talk about cooperation."
They took a battery car and went away.
Lei Feng was planning to visit a few other places but he heard a sharp voice from the exit of the building, "Hey Brother, are you here to cheer me up?" Gu Tianchen said with a teasing tone.
Lei Feng ignored him and looked towards Zhu Yiting who was behind him. She was shocked by this and kept her head down out of guilt. She knew Lei Feng had friction with the Gu family but under the pressure of the family, she associated with Gu Tianchen.
"Brother Lei it is not what it looks like. We got together because we are from the same city and our fathers are business friends." She explained.
"No need to explain Ms. Zhu, I am not worthy of one. I am happy for you." Lei Feng said with a bland tone.
Each sentence was like a dagger piercing her heart, her eyes turned red.

He gritted his teeth and did something to annoy Lei Feng and make him look bad in front of the Zhu Family so he could deepen the bonds.

Father Zhu laughed it off like a children's fight.

Lei Feng shrugged and walked away.
