The space pod hurtled through the vastness of space, its destination set for a small, blue planet called Earth. Inside, Gine held baby Kakarot close, her heart a mix of anxiety and hope. The journey had been long and arduous, but the end was finally in sight.
'We're almost there, Kakarot,' she thought, looking down at her sleeping son. 'A new beginning awaits us.'
The pod's navigation system beeped, signaling their approach to Earth. Gine's eyes widened as the planet came into view, a beautiful orb of blue and green. 'It's so different from Planet Vegeta,' she marveled, her thoughts filled with wonder and apprehension.
As the pod entered Earth's atmosphere, it began to shake violently. Gine tightened her grip on Kakarot, her heart pounding. "Hold on, Kakarot. We're almost there," she whispered, her voice steady despite the turbulence.
On a small island in the middle of the ocean, an elderly man with a long white beard and sunglasses was enjoying a peaceful afternoon. He sat on the porch of his house, sipping tea and watching the waves lap against the shore.
Suddenly, a bright light streaked across the sky, catching his attention. "What in the world?" he muttered, squinting at the sky. The light grew brighter, and he realized it was heading straight for his island.
With a loud crash, the space pod landed on the beach, sending sand flying in all directions. The old man jumped to his feet, his tea forgotten. "Well, this is certainly unexpected," he said, making his way towards the pod.
The hatch of the pod hissed open, and Gine stepped out, holding baby Kakarot in her arms. She looked around, her eyes wide with curiosity and caution. 'This must be Earth,' she thought, taking in the unfamiliar surroundings.
The old man approached cautiously, his staff in hand. "Who are you, and what brings you to my island?" he asked, his tone wary but not unfriendly.
Gine turned to face him, her expression determined. "My name is Gine. I come from a planet called Vegeta. This is my son, Kakarot. We seek refuge here."
The old man's eyes widened in surprise. "A planet called Vegeta? I've never heard of such a place. And you arrived in that... thing?" he asked, pointing to the space pod.
Gine nodded. "Yes, we fled our planet to escape destruction. We need a safe place to stay."
The old man's expression softened. "I see. Well, you're welcome to stay here for as long as you need. This island is a safe place. By the way, you can call me Roshi, the Turtle Hermit."
Gine's eyes filled with gratitude. "Thank you, Roshi. Your kindness means more than you know."
As the days passed, Gine and Kakarot settled into their new life on Master Roshi's island. Gine spent her days exploring the island and learning about Earth, while Kakarot played happily in the sand.
One afternoon, as Gine was gathering firewood, Roshi approached her. "Gine, I've been thinking. You have great potential. I can sense it. Would you allow me to train you in martial arts?"
Gine looked at Kakarot, who was crawling around nearby. "I want to be strong, to protect my son. If you can teach me, then I would be grateful."
Roshi nodded. "Of course. Strength without wisdom is meaningless. I'll make sure you learn both."
Training began the next day. Roshi led Gine through basic exercises, teaching her the fundamentals of martial arts. Gine's Saiyan strength and agility made her a quick learner, and Roshi was impressed by her progress.
"You're a natural," Roshi remarked one evening as they sat around a campfire. "You have a talent for this."
Gine smiled, her eyes shining with determination. "I have to be strong. For Kakarot. For Raditz ."
Roshi nodded. "I understand. There's one technique I can teach you. It's called the Kamehameha. It's the most powerful move I know."
Gine's eyes widened with interest. "The Kamehameha? Show me."
Roshi stood up and faced the ocean. "Watch closely." He brought his hands together, focusing his energy. "Ka...me...ha...me...HA!" A powerful beam of energy shot from his hands, crashing into the waves and sending a spray of water into the air.
Gine's eyes sparkled with excitement. "That's incredible! Teach me how to do that."
Roshi smiled. "Alright, but it won't be easy. It requires intense focus and control."
Over the next few weeks, Gine trained tirelessly, practicing the Kamehameha under Roshi's guidance. She struggled at first, but her determination never wavered.
One evening, as the sun set over the ocean, Gine stood on the beach, her hands cupped together. "Ka...me...ha...me...HA!" A beam of energy shot from her hands, more powerful than Roshi's, crashing into the waves with a tremendous force.
Roshi clapped his hands, a proud smile on his face. "Well done, Gine! Your Kamehameha is already stronger than mine."
Gine beamed with pride. "Thank you, Roshi. Your training has made me stronger."
Roshi nodded. "You've done well. But remember, the Kamehameha is the only move I can teach you. You're already stronger than I am."
Gine's eyes filled with gratitude. "Thank you, Roshi. I'll use this power to protect Kakarot and honor Bardock's memory."
Roshi looked at baby Kakarot, who was playing nearby. "Gine, when Kakarot grows up, I'd like to train him as well. I sense something special in him too."
Gine smiled, her heart swelling with pride. "I would be honored, Roshi. Thank you."
As the weeks turned into months, Gine and Kakarot adapted to their new life on Earth. Gine continued to train, honing her skills and growing stronger each day.
One day, as they were training on the beach, Gine noticed a ship approaching the island. Her heart raced with fear. 'Could it be Frieza's forces? Have they found us?'
Roshi joined her, his expression serious. "Stay here with Kakarot. I'll go see who it is."
Gine watched anxiously as Roshi approached the ship. To her relief, it was not Frieza's forces, but a group of Earthlings who had come to visit Roshi.
"Roshi, it's good to see you!" one of them called out, waving.
Roshi waved back, a smile on his face. "Welcome, my friends! Come, meet our new guests."
Gine relaxed, her fear subsiding. 'We're safe, for now,' she thought, watching as the newcomers approached.
As the sun set over the island, Gine sat on the porch, watching Kakarot play with the other children. Her heart swelled with gratitude. 'We've found a new home, Bardock. We're safe.'
She looked up at the stars, her thoughts turning to Bardock and the Saiyan people. 'I'll honor your memory, Bardock. I'll make sure Kakarot grows up strong and kind. We'll carry on the Saiyan legacy.'
