From Winterfell, Reagan and his group reached Castle Black, where the Commander of the Night's Watch seat is situated. When they entered the castle on giant wolves, the Night's Watch members were frozen in fear after seeing armed men and women riding on the backs of wolves the size of a horse, led by three wolves that were larger than the largest hirse they had ever seen.
From the top of the biggest wolf, a young man dismounted and walked up to an old man wearing a black fur cloak and a silver crow emblem on his chest. The old man had gray hair due to his old age and gray eyes that still had fierceness in them. The young man stood in front of the old man and just looked at him. After a few tense seconds, the old man with a stern face asked Reagan, "How's my daughter doing?"
"She's doing good, and she's happy." Reagan replied with an impassive face.
Suddenly, both of them cracked a smile, and the old man gave him a bear hug while saying, "What took you so long to come here again? I thought I'd see my grandson soon."
Hugging his grandfather back, he said, "You had to do things that would lead to this."
Separating from the hug, the old man held Reagan by his shoulders and said, "You got gigantic, just like me!"
"Heh. I'm your first grandson, so of course I'll be gigantic." Reagan said it with a smile.
"Ahem." A sound from behind Reagan stopped the two of them talking and looked behind him, only to see Alys tapping her foot on the ground while holding her hands crossed in front of her.
Seeing her, the old man said, "It seems my little princess is a bit mad at me."
"I have no idea." Reagan replied and moved to the side.
The old man looked at Alys and said, "Alys, how have you been?"
Cracking a smile at him, she ran straight into his hands and hugged him, saying, "I've been good. I've been training with my brother, and I got better than before."
"That's my girl." The old man said and patted her head and asked, "Where are the little ones?"
Looking up at him, Alys said, "They're not with us, grandfather Donnor."
"We didn't come here for a visit, grandfather." Reagan chimed in, with Lyanna standing next to him.
Nodding at Reagan, Donnor said, "I can see that. Let's talk in my room." Then, looking at the wolves, he asked, "They won't attack my men, right?"
"They won't. They're obedient to us, and they're led by Fenrir." Alys said as she separated from the hug with her grandfather.
"Yeah, that little one had grown up strong." Donnor said as he looked at Fenrir, then looking back at Reagan, he said, "Come, let's talk."
The four of them—Reagan, Alys, Lyanna, and Donnor—went into Donnor's room. A few minutes into their talk, Donnor stopped Reagan and asked, "You do know that the Nights Watch and the Wildlings are bitter enemies."
"Yes, I know," Reagan said.
"And you want them to cross the wall?" Donnor asked again.
"Yes, but only the ones who want to kneel before me and my father for a place to stay in the North. I'm not just doing this to bolster the population of the North; I'm trying to thin out the Wildlings so that, when the threat that made our ancestors make this wall come back, there won't be anyone for them to raise from the dead." Reagan told his grandfather and waited patiently.
Looking into the eyes of Reagan, Donnor said, "I know that you are not someone who would just lie to get his way. But that's not the same with my men. Even if they know that you are the Prince of Winterfell, they won't agree to let the Wildlings pass through the Wall."
"You don't have to worry about that, grandfather; I'll take care of it." Reagan told him with a smile that reached his eyes.
"I know that smile all too well, Reagan. What absurdity are you going to do today?" Donnor asked his grandson, knowing full well his personality and impulses.
With a gleam in his eyes, he said, "Give me ten rangers, and I'll show them the proof that they need to believe that the Wildlings are not our enemies."
"Oh, come on! You are not going to do what I think you are going to do, right?"Alys asked in a loud voice as she heard her brother and Donnor just cover his face with one hand in expression. Lyanna, on the other hand, was having an amused smile playing on her face.
"Of course I am, my dear sister. What other way is there to prove my point?" Reagan told her in a sing-song voice.
"Reagan, mother, and father, along with Artos and Arya, are waiting for us to come back in a month or so. But now you are telling me that you are going to the Land of Always Winter! Unbelieveable. No, it's believable, as it's you who's saying it." Alys raged on and said the last part in a low voice.
"Reagan, I can allow that. But promise me to come back alive." Donnor said after sighing out.
"Grandfather! Why are you allowing him to do so?" Alys asked in surprise, as she thought that Donnor would prevent Reagan from going.
"What else can I do? Even if I don't agree with him, he will kidnap two trusted rangers of the Night's Watch and go there anyway." Donnor asked his granddaughter.
"That is true." Alys nodded at that statement slowly.
"Alright, it's decided then. You two will stay back so that you can help the Night's Watch in hunting for food, or you can go to each territory of the wildlings and scout them out." Reagan said as he looked at his sister and his betrothed.
"We will be taking down the Wildlings ourselves before you come back from your trip to the Land of Always Winter." Lyanna said.
Shurring his shoulders, he said with a smile, fully knowing what she's up to with this plan of her's, "Suit yourselves."
Turning to his grandfather, he asked, "So who will be coming with me to see the real enemy?"
"The ranger group led by the First Ranger Owen; he's someone my men respect. If it's his words, then the night's watch will believe it." Donnor said it without much thought.
"Alright, Owen and his group will come with me. And we will be riding the wolves, not the horses, so expect us back in three weeks or so."
Nodding at Reagan, Donnor said, "Alright, I'll inform him of this."
"Sure, tell him that we will depart tomorrow morning." Standing up from his seat, he continued, "Thanks for the hospitality, Lord Commander Donnor Stark."
Donnor just looked at him in deadpan without saying anything, and taking it as his own, he led Alys and Lyanna out of the room. As soon as they were out, Alys went toward the courtyard, where her bond Snow was resting. Reagan and Lyanna went to their wolves, Fenrir and Fenris.
When he was sure that no one would hear them, Reagan asked, "So, are you going to marry me after this?"
"Of course I am; why do you ask?" Lyanna asked back with a smile.
"You know what? And I know what you are planning." Reagan said as he started to sort through his things.
Looking at him, she asked, "Do you not agree with it then?"
Shaking his head, he replied, "No, I agree with that, and I like that too."
Taking a tiara that was similar to the one Wonder Woman used from his bag, he placed it on her head and said as he kissed her lips. "It'll be fitting if I have to say anything about that. My dear warrior queen."
(I'm going to use Quillbot to do my editing from now on, so I want to know,
Should I make a new volume and upload the edited ones in new volume?
OR
Should I just edit the existing chapters and be done with it?)
