George's POV
"I....I want a divorce". My mind rumbled in pain as my heart panged loudly to my hearing. I was about tearing up when she continued " I mean let's free ourselves from deceiving ourselves, from the bondage, the daily torture of seeing each other. George i know you understand what i'm saying"
"No, i don't"
My heart arched like a thousand pins were piercing into it. I love her so much, i love her regardless of cruel attitude towards me. I have felt pain because of her almost all my life but it wasn't compared to the pain i feel now. She went too far as asking for a divorce
I was still suffering a trance when she waved her hand across my face "George are you okay? "
"Why are you asking for a divorce all of a sudden? " i asked furiously and she flinched in shock
"I'm tired George, i want us to just end this game already" she sprang up on her feet as i fumed
"You want a divorce?" i asked but she remained silent waiting for what i would say next. "Fine! suit yourself" her eyes widen in disbelief "I have tried to be a good husband. Yes i have and definitely this is best option, is good if we both go our separate ways" i paused
"But Helena" i turned stern "I will never let you take my children with you. I will make sure to fight in court concerning our children and guess what? i will win because you are not worth to be called a mother. You are the worst woman in the whole universe". I was so furious that blurted out without even thinking.
My gaze landed on Helena whose face was soaked wet in tears. My heart broke into pieces to see i made her cry, i can't reverse what i just said so i simply looked at her tenderly and headed upstairs.
"God please i beg you, i love this woman with my life. Don't let her push through with the divorce"

Helena's POV
I was so impatient on the table waiting for Toni who seemed not to be showing up at all. I wasn't used to waiting for people and the wait made me so restless. I grabbed my phone to call Toni again
"Toni can you please come to the restaurant already. I really need you now, i'm so broken right now" i exhaled
"Hmm... what happened?" she asked
"George raised his voice at me last night. Just come over, i can't explain all these through the phone" i requested but her brief silence only meant that she won't be coming
"Helena i can't, i have loads of work here in the office" she serenely said and i hummed "okay" and ended the call
I lowered my gaze lost in thought as last night's incident still whirled in my mind. George really scared me last night, for 17 years i have been with him i have never seen this side of him in my life. The rage in his eyes made me feel like he wasn't willing to let me go.
His face spoke of hope, like he was hoping that i would change my mind. Why isn't he letting go when nothing is working out? Why is he still hoping when my mind is unchangeable and my decision is final?
I was so deep in thought that i didn't notice the person standing right in front of me calling
"Miss are you okay? " the person asked the umpteen time then i jerked my head up to see the least expected person in my mind. He beamed up staring at me
"What's a beautiful lady like you doing here all alone with no company? " he smiled and i gazed in amusement. Who would have thought i was going to see him in this lifetime. He looked so different and matured from the last time we saw in school. Those dimples of his never failed to give his face a candy-like convert.
"Oscar?" i gasped bemused "Oscar is that really you? How... How long has it been? ". He smiled slightly and sat opposite me to look at my face directly. He was actually my High School and High Institution crush then, perhaps we were in love and i really wanted to end up with him.
But literally, i broke his heart when i told him i would be getting married to someone else all because of my dad. After breaking that news to him i didn't see him again and it seemed like he blocked me on all social media platform. Toni later told me he had relocated to Mexico.
That alone increased my anger towards Dad and my hatred towards George. They both shattered the perfect life i was building with Oscar.
"18 years or so? It has been a while. You're looking all pretty and radiant, more like a single star glowing in the dark clouds" he chuckled like always then i giggled. I wasn't surprised at all, he was good at flattering ladies.
"I know right? " i laughed "You don't look bad yourself". He smiled at me as an awkward silence emerged. I had to say something if he wasn't going to say anything. " When did you come back? Because i can remember vividly that you travelled outside the country after _____". I paused not willing to talk further.
"Yes after you dumped me to get married to another man" his face solemn as his gaze landed on my finger. Yeah that's right, the cursed ring! He's definitely going to run like the other men who saw this ring on my finger.
"And you're still married but you look much hotter than the passed years" he seductively said as i looked quizzical
"Look who is flattering a married woman" i frowned and he sniggered. What's with the laugh?
"A happy married woman right? " he blunted and i swallowed hard
"Of course i am, what about you? Aren't you married yet? " i asked sternly
"Nope, i waited for you. I'm still waiting for you" he licked his lips flirty as his hand trailed down mine. I jerked my hands away looking fed up
"I.. I have to go Oscar" i got up but he then held my hand tightly
"Is your husband more feisty and sexy than i am? You can't deny that i'm the perfect person to handle you down there" he said with his hand reaching out to my clothes. I pushed him away furiously not trying to create a scene.
"I'm....I'm really sorry Helena. Please dinner tomorrow, pick a place" he requested without beating around the bush. I paused with a glare then i skittered out of the restaurant. I entered my car and blushed hard, his hands were still cold and comforting.
I waved the naughty thought away after realizing that i'm still a married woman. George still hasn't said anything about the divorce.

Mr Julian's POV
My PI Eddie was already sitting in my living room waiting for my arrival. I reached for my robes since i was still at home and gently i climbed down the stairs with a glass of my favourite wine glued to my hand. As i entered the living room, Eddie stood up
"Good day boss" he bowed as a sign of respect and i motioned him to sit down with a nod. I sat down on my king sized chair as some servants served Eddie with red wine and he smiled
"Boss you summoned me" he sipped his wine "I actually thought something happened regarding how urgent you sounded on the phone". I nodded as i emptied my glass and my standby servant refilled it once more.
" Of course it is urgent because it is about my only child and daughter. Anything that concerns my only heir should be regarded as urgent" i stated and he nodded in approval
"So what should i do? " he asked full of alacrity "Anything boss, you know i'm capable of doing it". I smiled as i operated my phone and dropped it as he got a notification
"Check your phone" i instructed and he did only to see a picture of a young lady
"Her name's Toni and she claims to be a friend of my daughter's" i dropped my glass and concentrated on him "I want you to investigate more about her, dig out whatever you can find. You can either spy on her or track her down on her social media accounts. I don't care about how you would do it, just give me enough information about her true self". I emptied my second glass and he nodded also emptying his.
