Helena's POV

George went to buy some food after i was being discharged, he promised that we would head home after eating. You know, i'm so lucky though, God still has some compassion for me. To give me a man like George as a comforter. What would i have done if George wasn't here to look after me? I would have been 6 feet under already.

I lumbered into dad's room and as expected he was still in coma. Tears brimmed in my eyes as i watched him. I never imagined in my life that i would be the reason for his sickness and health failure. If i had thought about this back in High School, i wouldn't have lived a rough life like i did.

"Aren't you going in? " a female voice behind me asked, drifting me out of my thoughts, i was a bit startled though. I wiped the tears off my face as i turned to her with a smile. It was the Gynaecologist that attended to me earlier. She was a beautiful tall lady with bright brown eyes and a rounded face. Her body shape was perfect for her height and her white teeth brightened up her face more

"No i don't think so doc, i should be on my way now" i excused myself not wanting to engage into any conversation with her

Toni's POV

I elegantly pranced into the Living room with a deceitful smile plastered on my face. I spotted Oscar at the bar corner as usual, he furrowed his eyebrows upon seeing me

"Seems like someone is going to be a father soon" i winked and confusion was imprinted on his face as he sprang up

"What are you talking about Toni? " he asked while taking glances at my belly. He must be insane to think that i would let him get me pregnant. But well i can't spoil this show with my annoyance

"Just got a call on my way to the mall and seems like Helena's pregnant" i promulgated and he seemed taken aback. He quietly sat back on the bar seat and i did the same to study his reaction. But unfortunately for me, the damn guy wasn't giving any, he stared across the room uncannily.

"Aren't you happy? " i asked serenely still trying hard to discern something but it felt like he blocked me off. Finally he waved his head pejoratively

"I don't care" he gulped on his wine "She can do whatever she pleases with the child". I smiled upon hearing what he said and he refilled his glass

"Can i join you? " i asked to break the awkward silence that was building up. I didn't get a reply, so i assume Yes.

George's POV

We got home really late and ate dinner with the kids. Few minutes later, a young man arrived in the house, Helena and i sat with him. He seemed familiar, he works for Mr Julian

"You? " Helena pointed trying to remember "You look familiar"

"Good day Mrs Helena and to you Mr Isaac" he greets "I'm PI Eddie and i work for Mr Julian". I furrowed my eyebrows as my eyes darted to Helena and back to the Eddie guy

" You're a PI? " Helena asked

"Yes Ma'am and i'm here to help. My four children are in school today all because of Mr Julian" he pinpointed and i smiled. "They say one good turn deserves another, i can't forsake him at his time of need"

"So what do you have for us? " i asked eagerly and Helena held my hand with a slight smile as we anticipated for what he had to say

"Mr Julian once asked me to investigate about Toni Warrick but i didn't go all that deep" he opened his briefcase then i gave Helena a reassuring look to calm down

"I found out she's engaged in some many illegal businesses and also she has seven illegal clubs in and out of the country. Yearly the clubs gets supporters and Oscar Griffin happens to be one of her biggest supporters" he concluded and i gaped. Helena clung to me like a scared cat, surmising from her reaction, i'm certain she's not aware of any of it.

"Ahem..... Sir, can you please continue the investigation? " Helena asked with a little pant.

Toni's POV

I was going ballistic after our lawyer told us about the forged signature. That bitch Helena forged hers and her father' signature. We got no properties at all, the court discovered that and here we are fuming in rage

"Oscar you're a bloody bastard! " i cursed and he sprang on his feet

"Don't you dare blame this on me Toni, how would i know she actually forged the signatures in the first place" Oscar rasped. I felt like i was going to explode anytime soon, my legs were already shivering as i thudded the table.

"No, Helena has to pay for everything she has done to me. I can't let her get away with it" i shouted with a scowl on my face

"But Toni we can't, it's all over now. We need to leave the country before the police gets to us" Oscar suggested serenely and i threw a death glare at him

"Not yet" i chortled almost like a moron

George's POV

The house was all calm and quiet, i went outside the garden and found Helena staring at the moon and stars. For a moment i lost tracks of my footsteps and glued myself to the floor as i gazed from her back in admiration. She was a perfectly created creature with all it takes for a woman to be beautiful physically.

The beeping sound i was hearing suggested that i'm in a hospital and the distant voices were coming from my father, George and an unfamiliar voice too. After adjusting to the lights, i fully opened my eyes and scanned the whole room taking in the simple arrangement

"Look she's awake" the man on white pointed and he seemed to be the doctor. George and father rushed to me with relief plastered on their faces as Betty and Erin ran into the room too

"Mommy?.... Mommy"

I smiled as i took in all their faces, it felt like i haven't seen them for the longest time. "What happened? " i asked more like in a whisper because i could barely hear myself

"Toni shot you" Oscar reminded and all the memories flashed back in my head. I shivered frightened as i reminisced the incident. George seemed to have notice my fear because he took hold of my hand

"Relax Helena, everything is okay now. Toni was charged for illegal businesses, robbing of people's companies and properties, attempted murder and she has been sentenced along with Oscar. But i'm sorry, the doctors couldn't save your child" George informed and the last part he said it ruefully

Shouldn't i be happy that i lost the child? I mean the baby was Oscar's and i really don't want to be reminded about those awful memories. Maybe it's for the best, like George once said "Everything happens for a reason". Father kissed my forehead as tears welled up in his eyes

" Helena i'm so sorry for what i said, i should have believed in you, i should have_____"

I cut dad short, it was all my fault and i should be the one apologizing. "Dad no, none of what happened was your fault. I totally understand if you were disappointed then and i deserved it. But i promise you one thing dad and that's change". Father seemed very happy and glad. There was an awkward silence as George's eyes was glued on me

" Ahem, Betty... Erin, why not we go buy ice cream for your mom" father suggested

"That's a good idea grandpa" Betty jabbered and with that they left. George was still holding my hands ready to say something

"I will go first George" i smiled and he nodded. "George with everything that had happened and all we went through, it made me realize what i had been missing out for a very long time. I never imagined saying this to you but..... I love you so much George". After my confession, George jibbering look was like that one a winner in an Olympics. He was so on top of the world to hear me say that.

"Helena you won't believe how happy i am right now. Do you know i have waited for 17 years to hear you say those words. Helena i won't lie to you, i have been in love with you the very first day i saw you at your dad's company even before the arranged marriage came about. And i still so much love you Helena" he pulled me into an embrace. This is how the Issue of my Heart was solved.

"Remember, an outsider should never know you more than your family do".
