The Phantoms Pact

Hinata's face brightened up as a glimmer of hope had resurfaced, but Haru begged to differ. "We will never help a person who downgrades and look down on others because of their past, let's go guys."

"B-but." Hinata stammered.

Tanji remained seated with his legs crossed and his right arm resting on the head of the couch as he smiled, no matter their principles no one could give up such an offer especially when it's extremely needed.

"Let's be reasonable here Haru, no matter the grudges. We still need that reward for her own sake, we can't go back now not after all the time we wasted to get here." Renji said in an attempt to convince Haru.

"Tch." He grunted again in frustration, with no choice left they all returned back to the couch and sat down. A slight smile reappearing on Hinata's face.

"I'm glad we're on the same page, now let's talk about the quest."

"As you all know, I request the assistance of top class mages to escort and protect a very important individual on her journey. That important individual, is my daughter."

"What does she need protection from that you need high class mages for?" Renji asked with the obvious knowledge that the wealth Tanji has attained made it possible for him to purchase the highest security there was. But why S-class mages?

"Phantoms Pact." Tanji sighed as replied.

"Phantoms Pact?" Renji was still new to the various concepts that existed in this world, the Phantoms Pact was no doubt another mystery to him.

"The Phantoms Pact are what you'll call a guild of mages who use their magic for crimes." Hinata said.

"In short, a criminal guild and not just any criminal guild, they are the top guild in that category." Haru chimed in as he spoke from experience after encountering several of these guilds on quests he went on in the past.

"Exactly, so hiring mere bodyguards won't be enough to protect my precious daughter. To them she's an asset they could use to gather millions, but to me she's my entire life so I ask you young mages of the Phoenix. Do you have what it takes to protect my daughter at all costs?" Tanji stared them in the eyes with a intense gaze.

If there's one thing he'd sacrifice his entire wealth for, it's his daughter. "With due respect sir, we may not be S-class mages. But if there's one thing we are good at, it's protecting our comrades." Hinata said in response.

Haru smirked, unable to control the flow of emotions through his body. He pointed his left thumb at himself as he spoke with confidence.

"That's just how the Dancing Phoenix are."

"I see." Tanji said aloud as he relaxed his back into the chair, he smirked a bit as he saw the determined look in Haru's eyes. It didn't represent confidence or self cockiness, but something much more desirable. The ability to give it your all until you can't no more.

"Call her." He said softly issuing his butler the order to summon his daughter, at long last she could finally proceed with her planned journey.

"At once master Tanji."

Several minutes passed by as they all awaited the arrival of his daughter, however it wasn't her that arrived. It was an angel sent from the heavens, a lady with an ethereal beauty descended slowly from the staircase.

All eyes were on her with no one daring to blink, she was the epitome of beauty, her skin glowed with grace, her deep blue eyes reflected her beautifully blonde hair. Her style is timeless and refined, adorned with delicate, understated jewelry that complements her natural beauty rather than overshadowing it.

"I guess those are the perks of having a rich father." Haru said softly, he wasn't actually interested in how she looked like or in her generally. The same goes for Renji who already developed the ability to disregard his emotions in order to complete his mission.

"This is my daughter, Amelia." Tanji smiled gracefully as he introduced his daughter to them, she was around the same age as them yet she was still his most prized possession. "Amelia, you can finally go on your journey to the Nile kingdom. The Dancing Phoenix will be there to protect you." He added with a smoothering voice.

"The Dancing Phoenix?" She asked with disgust behind her voice. "Isn't there any other competent guild that could act as my bodyguard." She added ranting on like a spoiled brat.

Her words didn't affect Renji or Haru as they had already made up their minds long ago to watch her from afar, however it left Hinata trembling jn silence. All it took Amelia was a simple no to call off the quest.

"I understand sweetheart, but no other guilds are willing to accept so I had no choice but to accept the only guild that did." He replied his daughter with a soft voice.

"Ugh, fine." She agreed with displeasure, it was already assured that her journey wouldn't be pleasant in any way.

"You have your mission, mages of the Dancing Phoenix. Do not fail me." He declared with a stern voice, he nodded at his butler signaling him to commence the quest.

"This way, if you will." The butler said, leading Amelia and the three mages out the mansion and towards a beautifully furnished carriage adorned by jewels and pulled by two horses.

"Wow, it's like he's begging for the Phantoms Pact to attack his own daughter." Renji whispered softly as Hinata giggled.

"With this carriage, we might have to protect even the horse." Haru inputted his own opinion, the carriage spelt millions of Rei alone.

"Enough with the mumbling, let's go." Amelia ordered with a harsh voice as they all sighed and got into the carriage.

"Be careful Amelia!" Tanji exclaimed, waving his daughter goodbye as the carriage left the mansion and on route towards their destination.

For a brief moment, everywhere was silent due to the awkwardness inside the carriage. That was until.

"Oh my gosh! I can't believe I'm inside the same carriage as the Dancing Phoenix! I'm going to have to check it off my bucket list!" Amelia couldn't help but implode from within, but not with disgust, with joy.

"Huh."
