Chapter Ten

The sky turned darker by the second before an explosion of blood stained the sky, I trembled in terror, fear taking over my body as I froze in place while they taunted me. Circling me like vultures, claiming I'd never amount to anything and that the darkness would consume my soul. A whirlpool of darkness surrounded, trapping me with my tormentors. As the wind stirred around us, I screamed for them to stop with their words that stabbed my heart, but they continued tormenting me with their songs of despair. I began to sob.

They laughed at my weakness to no end until a deep growl emerged from behind us, I quickly turned around and before me, a sheer black wolf with eyes of peridots and sapphires stared into my soul and began to stalk toward the black-eyed children that were tormenting me with their songs of death and destruction before they turned to crows and flew off. The wolf nuzzled my shoulder before everything began to dissipate and I was ripped away from the scene.
