After three days of travel, Marcus finally arrived at Rumis City, more commonly known as Dungeon City.
The journey had been relatively quick, thanks in part to the city's location along the border of the Aurora Empire, which also brought them close to the Alvora Empire. Had the dungeon been situated deeper within the empire, they would have faced an additional two days on the road. Yet, as they approached the city, Marcus found himself filled with anticipation for what lay ahead.
However, he hadn't anticipated the heightened security surrounding Dungeon City. As they neared the city gates, he watched a contingent of guards methodically checking documents and inspecting the carriage. The atmosphere was tense, the guards alert and organized, signaling that this was a place of significance—possibly due to the infamous dungeons that lay beneath the city.
