Seeing Alice lost in thought, Marcus reached out his hand and gently pulled her closer. Her breath hitched at the sudden closeness, her heart pounding wildly. Marcus could see the conflict in her eyes, her emotions swirling as she grappled with her feelings. As if sensing her inner turmoil, Marcus patted her head softly, his voice gentle but firm.
"You don't have to think about anything else," he told her. "Just tell me—will you become my woman or not?"
Alice's mind raced as she heard the question again. Her thoughts flickered between memories of Charlotte and Erza, the women already in Marcus's life. How could she possibly fit into that picture? But before she could drown in her hesitation, Marcus's voice cut through her doubts once more.
"You don't have to think about anything else," he repeated. "Just answer me—do you love me or not?"
