Shit I lost, damn it. I didn't expect to lose like this, if she comes to her senses doesn't that make it harder for me to end in the top 4.

Well I should make it by a hearts breath as long as I don't lose my last 2 matches. As far as I can tell, if I lost to this guy, there's no way I'm winning against her.

Worst case scenario I'll have to fight in the elimination round. But, as long as I don't lose against the remaining two or atleast Viller who seems to be the worst out of the 5.

I should be able to pass without getting to the Elemination Round. Well whatever if I get to the elimination round, I don't think I'll face people lower than me.

Since I'm in group 7 there's should be 3 people who are worst than me so I don't see myself losing this round.

And so after the 5 minutes break, the Much awaited Match was announced

As our names were called in the screen below the arena, we both walked up towards the podium.

And so we raised our swords, while I was serious. She looked nonchalant and distant almost robotic.

She showed no emotion she just wielded the Sword as she looked like she'd lost all will to fight.

"What is that lame ass way of swordsmanship?"

I asked

"....."

No response.

"I'm asking you something you know, is that the best you can do?"

"....."

She just swung her Sword with no energy whatsoever.

"Are you really the same Noelle I know?"

The moment i said that, she raised her head and That was the first time she looked at my eyes.

Still lifeless.

"What do you even know about me? Do you even know who I am?"

"Ofcourse I do, Aren't you the cheerful knucklehead dumbass Swordsman who I see every day swinging her Sword like a madman?"

"You... who... are you?"

"You can't even recognize your own neighbour, that's what you get for being interested in only 1 guy and getting rejected lol."

"You..." she said in a bit of an exaggeration with a lot of anger as she glared at me.

"So you were rejected?"

I said nonchalantly, as if teasing her already broken heart and crushing it into bits.

I was expecting her to say no or just shout at me but the words she said next surprised me.

"Aahh, whatever, yaa I don't know who you are but yes he rejected me. You seem to know me and Justin. That guy!!! After being together with me for almost as long as we have lived. He... he... he rejected me... he told me that he didn't see me that way."

And so she started sobbing real hard which made the spectators seem surprised while some were staring daggers at me as if i was the culprit behing her crying.

Wait a second? I Don't understand, he rejected her? That never happened in the Comic, im pretty sure that she saw Elven princess and Justin kiss.

I don't understand, but now wasn't the time to fret over that. One thing is clear, for some reason she was able to meet the MC without any problems and he'd rejected her.

Seeing her sob so hard, I couldn't really take it. Well who would rejoice seeing a women cry next to him, I mean the other way might be true but there's no way a man would ever wanna see a women cry next to him.

I wanted to give her a hug and console her but that wasn't my task, I wasn't some main hero who was going to help some damsel in distress by consoling her and telling her what she wanted to hear.

No.

"Was it that easy to lose focus? And here I was Chasing after you all this time."

The moment I said that, she seemed to look at me with surprised gaze.

"What do you mean lose focus?"

"I thought you were a great swordsman who would go through rigorous training every day, I thought you were cool. So, it was all for a guy haa? I'm disappointed."

"Why the hell do you care? I've liked since childhood, he was all I cared about. He was the reason why I chose to take up swordsmanship. I wanted him to notice me, but... now that he rejected me, I don't think there's any reason for me to even try so hard."

So she'd given up, she'd really given up. I didn't know know how hard she'd worked to get to where she is and she'd reach even greater heights.

Some people couldn't even dream of getting to the top 5000 but she had the potential to reach top 100.

She was that talented, she goes on to become one of the most important characters in the Comic.

"Are... you saying you have no other reason to be here except for him? Look around you, look at the people who live you and cherish you. I know there are people like that right?

The moment I said those words her eyes seem to be coming back to life as she stopped sobbing.

"I see, as expected of those kind people, they never told you. They are piled up in big debt and if you don't even reach 50000, they will die."

"What? How dare you... my parents aren't that weak. They are strong people, they wouldn't do something like that."

"What'd you do if they did?"

She widened her eyes in surprise as she stuttered.

"What if you couldn't? What if you couldn't stop them no matter what? An inevitable course."

"For starters, why don't you fight me with all your power? You might not find a reason now, but I know for sure you'll find a reason someday."

Afterall Justin does end up with her at the end of the Comic, she was the main heroine of the Comic.

Yes, Noelle William is the Female Main Character of the comic and the most popular Character in The Comic.

And so, she finally decided to take this seriously as she strengthened her back and got onto an Elegant posture and came at me with full speed.
