And so the 5th tournament starts

It was the day of The 5th tournament and I'm currently at D6 Rank. I should be probably ranked around the 30000's.

So I should probably be in the middle of Group 5. And so I got my Group number and my group number was 1027.

Hmm, that's a dramatic turn of events. Wow, I was lucky enough to get a lower ranked group.

I didn't expect that. I always got groups that were at the top but now I was in a lower ranked group.

Let's say that there are a total of 1500 groups. These groups are divided into 3 levels.

Lvl 3,2 & 1. Those were the levels.

The first level comprised of The hardcoee level. Which infused the first 500 groups.

The 2nd one was the Normal group. 501-1000.

And the final one was the Easy group that comprised of the last 500 groups.

I was always in the top 500 groups so I guess in my sub number, I was probably the stronge.

I thought the placements would be random but I was surely mistaken.

Now that I was a part of it myself I realised that, you are divided into groups based on your rank.

It's not just the sub group that is but the group itself is divided based on your rank.

In a group there are At current 56 people right. And the total number was 75000 - 6000 = 69000.

So that means in a single number, let's say 1. There are 1500 contendors. For the top spot in a certain group, again not sub group but the whole group of 50.

So, if you are ranked 1 you'll be at the top spot in group 1-1. If you are ranked 2 than you'll be placed 1 in G2.

That's how it goes, Apparently.

So it's not a luck system but a system that favours the strong but helps the weak.

This academy won't abandon it's students until they get expelled.

If the 50 groups were random than it'd be problematic for the weak contendors to fight, so that's why this system was employed.

Strong fight against strong and weak fight against weak. Well that only applies in the group and sub group.

That rule doesn't apply in the the Elimination round. To make sure that the strong doesn't get Eliminated they will make sure that each of them fight against the weak.

That's why it's a hell hole when it comes to the Elimination round.

There are 2 stages in an Elimination round, the first stage where the 5 strongest in the group fight against the 5 weakest in the group.

So the 5 can qualify to the next round. But, that's where things get real dirty.

The last 5 aren't given any potions or anything to recover their powers and in that way, they are told to fight each other.

Without recovery potions, suppliments, Enegrry drinks, food... Nothing.

They are given 2 preference and are told to fight against the other 5 in a round robin match and loses the highest matches will automatically disqualifify.

That is the only place where real inequality is shown in the academy.

With no food and nothing for them to recover their energy and all these matches are done in rapid succession to waste no time.

Some of them collapse. Without even being able to clear the last match, The ones who endure it until the end wins.

So, that's why. Going into that hell hole is like giving yourself up to the demons.

It's the shittiest helljole you'll probably even come across.

That was the kind of place it was.

While I was thinking all that, I got to the Warp gate in no time and entered the Warp gate to get to my arena.

"Ooh we're in the same group this time haa.."

"Ooh, Noelle. Good luck."

"Same to you."

And so with a slap on my back she left for her group. Hmm, she's in the 4th group haa? Well understandably so, does probably in the beginning of 23000's.

She's around 6000 ranks Above me so she's obviously in the 4th group.

And by the looks of things she's not the weakest among the group since she's standing at no 4 that's assigned to her.

Ooh, I guess I should mention this but, for each of the participants present here. These a small box next to them and a number on top of the wall that tells what group and number each player is.

There's a chair made of cotton material for them to sit and relax on.

So it's quite luxurious, it's a surprise how such a big place was even built with such precision.

Well there's mana in the building blocks so, it's understandable. This whole place is built out of someone's imagination.

Meaning this is half real and half fake. While you can touch and feel everything. The fact of the matter remains that it was created not by Millions of people coming together but by a single person.

She's the goddess of this universe and she came by herself to create not just this infrastructure but everything that's a part of this academy is part of her imagination and this whole place was built over night.

It's the biggest joint project with not just living species but also with godd involved in it.

It was truly a miracle.

"Well than everyone I hope y'all are ready. So let's begin the 5th Elimination round."

So he said with a cheerful voice.

After this tournament unfortunately another 1500 people would leave this Academy, I only hope it's not one of my friends.

Or me for that matter.

And so the tournament began with the buzzer of the moniter.

I went to check which rank I was, and as it turns out

I was the 2nd weakest member in the group of 4.

Things might not end as smoothly as I thought they would, well it'll probably wouk out somehow anyway.

I just have to defeat 1 guy, that way I'll be able to get past to the next round.
