Mia

I decided to not do anything for the time being so we decided to head back to The Academy.

My little sister started crying really hard the moment she heard that I was leaving for the academy to which Noelle Calmed her down.

For some reason, my mother and Noelle's mother have been quite close recently. I didn't expect such a development.

They must have talked about how men and Noelle were in the same academy to which they bonded together.

So, that's why Noelle's mother introduced Her to My little sister. Their families were actually surprised to hear that we'd become friends.

Anyway, the main issue here was The King. If we don't kill him by the end of the year, it'll become a real problem.

But, right now Justin is a good guy who doesn't necessarily kill people for now reason.

We'll have to somehow spite Justin into making that guy an enemy, We have to kill The King before he awakens a demon Commandor.

If he does than the entire Town will go down the drain. Well, he'll still awaken even if the king ended up getting killed.

But, before he awakens an year later from now. We have to evacuate the people of this town.

That way, they won't become sacrifices to the new awakened demon Commandor.

But, that's a story of the future. What I need to do right now, is going back and play the Tournament.

It should start in 4 days or so and should last for about a month. It's a pretty big tournament in terms of length.

With each match going for about 4 days. Surprisingly these people used the test match format.

There are 4 teams in total. And each team will face off against each other making it 3 matches for each Team.

There are 4 innings in a match and they last for 4 days in total.

Unlike the real world rules. There is no draw, whoever plays the most overs wins the match.

And if one of the teams loses all their 10 wickets in both innings without giving a lead and chasing a given total than they'd automatically lose the game.

It's a matter of endurance and stamina, Surviving 4 days of literal hell with the pitch being favourable to the bowlers.

It's a hell hole for the batsman, the academy probably probably has the hardest cricket pitch in the entire World.

That pitch tho will be used for the finals.

Not really surprising tho, there are 3 group stage matches and each pitch differs from the other.

One can be a spinning track, one can be a seaming track, one can be a bit two paced.

That word "two paced" simply means that a bowler can bowl the same bowl at the same line and length but the ball might just bounce too much or stay on the pitch and come low.

Or it can just stop on the track and make its way slowly or it comes to the batsman too fast. It's quite unpredictable because it depends on the pitch and you take your eyes even once and you are out.

It needs real concentration to play the sport.

People think that the bowl would come in slow after it bounces on the pitch but they fail to understand that that is not the case at all.

When the ball hits the pitch it's absolutely unplayable for normal folks. You need to have great reflexes and eye control.

Not just eye control but you also need your body to keep up with your eyes which is quite hard.

That's why, for cricketers hitting a full toss is child's play because they don't have to be uncertain because the ball is coming only 1 way and that is towards the bat.

But, when the ball hits the pitch. It swings inside or outside depending on how the bowler wants it to swing.

If you don't read the spinner's hands and how he's bowling it or how he's turning the ball, the gestures he makes while delivering the ball.

You'll easily get out.

Ooh shit, I've yapping for a while about cricket now. It's just that, I was a bit of a state player when I was alive back in the old world.

I wanted to be a professional player and make my country atleast win 1 world cup but I ended battling cancer at the age of 18 and ended up dying in the process.

So, that's kinda the only thing except for the comic I was ever interested in.

I'm very enthusiastic about playing cricket in this world and a test match even.

I've never played one of those, I've only watched matches on the TV, the famous Ashes series or the BGT series which are the two most popular Formats of test cricket.

It's held between Australia, England and India which are the 3 gianst of cricket. While it's not very popular in other countries, but it was gaining popularity in my country since I was a child.

Sadly, I couldn't Represent my country in Cricket and died with cancer.

I wonder who it was that recommended me to the Comic, I'm pretty sure I was around 10 when I started reading the comic whenever I came back from practice after I was exhausted.

I thought that I'd ended up reading it after I was bed ridden at 16 but that wasn't the case since I've read it for quite a long time and know all the information of the Comic which only comes when you read it too much.

I wonder who it was that introduced me to this novel, I remember talking to someone when I was 12 years old and they told me about the comic which was at around 300 chapters at that time.

I remember it being a beautiful girl who also ended up in the hospital bedridden like me.

Sadly she'd died when she turned 16. Ooh, yaa now I remember...

That girl, someone who I'd cried for a lot. Probably the only person who cared about me and died while telling me that my life mattered.

When she heard the news that I'd been bedridden with cancer she'd get her sick body to my room and talk to me a lot.

She was someone I deeply cared for and she was also the only person who'd cared about me.

I'm sorry I forgot about you... I was suffering a little too much over the loneliness that I'd forgotten that someone who'd cared about me existed.

Haa, so there really was someone who cared about me... Her name... What was it again?

I think it started with M or something...

Ooh yaa I remember now, It was Mia.
